I am fine with temporarily eating bugs.
I have patience in knowing that these so-called globalist "world leaders" will eventually expire in this physical plane and encounter their fate in the pits of the abyss. And there, they can remain hungry and thirsty for all of eternity but without anything to eat or drink while being burned alive ad infinitum.
Their lungs will gasp for air but be without any relief. Their parched throats and encrusted lips will yearn for any semblance of moisture in the air, but they will find no repose. They will seek rest and attempt to close their eyes for a brief moment of escape from their weariness but will only find themselves gnashing their teeth in unequivocal anguish and pain.
And they will forever carry the regret as a boulder of granite on their backs of having rejected and cursed the God who gives life to all living things and salvation to those who place their trust in Him.

If they wanted to see how far they can push us before we fight…here it is.
Fix elections, demonize white men, groom our children…nope, but we’re not eating the fricking bugs (besides crawfish, shrimp, crabs…we’ll eat those).

A 2019 piece had a question as the title: ‘Would you eat insects to help save the planet?’
The answer is "hell no." frick this planet. I'm not going to be here too much longer, I'll be damned if these fricking people make me eat bugs before I go.

2B People In The World Eat Bugs because they can't afford meat.

Clearly I don't support forcing people to eat bugs via government order, or subsidies for insect protein.
Clearly that is what they are attempting to normalize through propaganda.
But (i think) you know that.
That being said, the fried crickets at Hugo's in Houston are pretty darn good every now and then.
I had ant larvae (Escamole) in Mexico City because it was in season, but didn't care for it.

You can’t pull a tasty piece of actual meat from a cricket

This is one of those situations that I don't personally want to participate in (yet, at least), but I have no problem if a market develops. That's what freedom (and capitalism, which is freedom) entails. People get to make their own choices.
Sure but in the meantime govt will try to make ranchers and farmers go out of business where bugs are the only option. And idiots like you will shrug and say that’s the free market

If WAPO has been pushing edible bugs for this long, you can bet Bezos is a major player in the edible bugs industry.

I didn't see that.
2B people (or whatever the exact amount is) in the world eat bugs daily without government force or subsidy.

I imagine a lot of this won't even be "bugs" like you just described but more processed into protein dust and incorporated into food products.
A more interesting discussion is fake meat and vegan meat, and how that works in the market. Scientists and corporations are advancing these techs very quickly and there will come a point where humans won't be able to taste the difference.
