Agreed. I think she's just saying that for domestic consumption.

I would expect her to say something like this since her legitimacy lies in the legitimacy of Maduro. What do you want her to say? That she stole an election. Lol
But it doesn’t matter since anyone who is not a lunatic TDS mental patient knows this woman is in charge of nothing.

More for her Russian handlers, imo. She will do as she is told though.

Libs wanting Trump to fail. Period. They are hoping something blows up on this. Bottom line we will be prosecuting a drug lord who happens to be President. Few believe he is innocent but with a liberal US judge, who knows. Maybe they will argue that our Constitution doesn’t give the authority to our President. But, if not, there are many Presidents who have taken similar action without push back. As far as who leads hereafter, who cares, we got our guy. Maybe we can persuade Venezuela to change but then maybe not but again Trump get his man.

Uh.. she’s not. The US never recognized the Maduro regime as legitimate. Her role as a temporary figurehead until US managed election can take place is fairly meaningless.
Lol. You think we’ve given her the power to pick up where Maduro left off?
Are we running the country? Really? Who do we have there now? Who from the US administration is on the ground in Caracas right now?
As far as the VP running the country...from Moscow? Seriously?
And the opposition leader...Maria Corina Machado? She's in Norway. And as far as her runnig the country, Trump appeared to rule her out...
""I think it would be very tough for her to be the leader. She doesn't have the support within or the respect within the country. She's a very nice woman, but she doesn't have the respect," Trump said.
How about Edmundo González Urrutia, who ran against Maduro? Machado called on the military to support him.
Bottom line...right now no one's in charge. Like others, I think there was a deal in place between the US and the VP, the generals, and/or the opposition before this ever went down,or pretty quickly afterwards. None of us really know anything yet.

It’s so goddamned childish.
Trump said, no less than 5 times, that the US is controlling Venezuela.

That would be odd for the leader of a nation that is celebrating what the US did with this liberation.

From Russia where she’s been hiding?
She wasn’t elected, she was appointed. Just like Kamala was appointed.

What I find interesting is how the quickly the retards switched from melting about muh “regime change” to “moron drumpfff left the commies in power!”
Talk about pivots.

Wait . . . People Think We're Following Venezuela's Order of Succession?
The way it should be handled is the ultimatum that they follow succession for stability with the understanding that a free and fair election overseen by external resources is held within 6 months.
The US doesn't need to "run" the country. Thats Bush type shite.

So, let me ask you this:
Tomorrow morning, when he goes to the office, who does the head of the Venezuelan armed forces take instructions from?
Donald Trump? Marco Rubio? The VP?
How does that communcation take place? None of those are in Caracas.
Who does he get his marching orders from?
If the VP shows up tomorrow on a flight from Moscow, what happens?

See, this is by design and why I think it was a good idea to let her be sworn in.
Imagine if they had just put people into those positions themselves. The left would have exploded. As would the right. And the media. It would have been a shite storm of epic proportions. But by doing it this way, he is "respecting Venezuela's constitution" and when the left screams about leaving the regime in place they are, at the same time, illustrating the need for him to have done what he did.
It's a catch 22 for them. They cannot logically argue against it.

They explode no matter what is done.
Thats the point.
You do what you think is right and give zero consideration to what your critics might say.

Of course.
You arrest Maduro and grant temporary status to the VP. The retards say you are propping up dictators for oil.
You arrest Maduro and send an envoy in to run things. The retards say you are nation building… “muh boots on the ground!”
You arrest Maduro and restore leadership to the opposition party. The retards melt over regime change.
You arrest Maduro and do nothing . The retards say you are handing control over to Iran, China, and Russia.
frick the retards.

You're not wrong about any of that.
My question is this: if that VP decides to hop on a plane from Moscow tomorrow, what happens when she lands in Caracas? If she shows up and she's sworn in, then what? How does anyone keep that from happening?
Don't get me wrong..I'm not saying she should or shouldn't be. I'm more fascinated by the process of how it will all play out. Have there been secret deals made with the Trump administration...with her, the opposition leaders, and/or the military? I have no idea. Every day this week will be interesting.
