I’m a Louisiana expat, now living in Florence, Alabama. The upcoming elections will be the first I’m eligible to vote in here. I’m looking for locals opinions from PT to help me decide for whom to vote and why. Thanks.

Is HempHead around? I think he's in Northwest AL.

He's the worst of the three.

Steer clear of Tim James as well. The rest of the gubernatorial candidates are so-so, but he is terrible.

Mo Brooks is the only conservative. The others are swamp creatures!

If you're a conservative, Mo is your only choice in the Senate race. He's the only candidate with a verifiable and solid record of voting for and supporting conservative policy.

If you don't believe me, see the leftist piece of shite above me who thinks Mo is terrible and either of the other 2 would be more palatable. That should tell you all you need to know.

For Governor- anybody but Kay Ivey.

If you're NOT a conservative, if you can't define conservatism, if you can't spell conservatism, or if you're just a piece of shite, in general, either Britt or Durant (Senate) and Ivey (Governor) are your choices.

In Florence for a fishing tourney. The single most underrated town in all of Alabama. I’d move here tomorrow if I could.

Turns out Mo is just another MUGA Republican.

Same here. Living over in Hampton Cove/Huntsville.

IIRC Katie Britt is a Shelby staffer.
I'd think about MeeMaw before I'd vote for her. She used to be a teacher...and I wouldn't be surprised if she still has ties to the AEA.
Your voting districts over there got screwed up by the last census.

I'm over your way every Tuesday and Thursday in Lexington.

I visited frequently for music projects for about five years. When I realized I could do my job from anywhere, I moved here, to the best kept secret in America.

Folks on this board are probably tired of seeing me weigh in on threads w/Brooks involved, but this is IMPORTANT.

As several others have mentioned, Mo Brooks is a real Constitutional Conservative. I grew up in Huntsville and went to school with Morris (Mo) Brooks in elementary, junior high, and high school (Grissom class of 72 - our 50 year reunion is this summer). He has absolute integrity. He was the Madison County DA for a few years and is a tough law and order enforcer. The others are all RINOs.
Any questions?
