The GOPe thought they could lie there way back into power only to turn around and stab the electorate in the back with the status quo. The next republican SOH better understand the mistakes McCarthy, Ryan, and Boehner made and change course

I know what I said - looks like there are only 8 true GOP members in the house.

Biden better be impeached by the end of next week. Trunps trials need to be shut down and the special counsel stripped of all funding by the end of next week. And the GOP brass better tell all of there AGs to arrest every democrat sight unseen.

That is the only way our country can be restored.

I will not be surprised if a Dem throws his or her name in the hat for speaker and wins. The majority of the GOP house/senate is made up of weasels.

Listening to a few of the callers on the CSPAN link, DEMOCRAT voters are embarrassed by the Democrats for being a part of this. Most of them think McCarthy did a great job.

The news that I linked had a political commentary say the far right does not rule our govt.

Why diss and call it the far right? When the far left and establishment have not served properly for at least 30 years.

We haven't had a budget since 2004.

Gaetz throwing out many names. Scalise has blood cancer.

The HFC guy or Biggs would be a good choice.

McCarthy seemed mad and surprised.

Would be hilarious if McCarthy is voted speaker again after this

Eight Republicans — Andy Biggs of Arizona, Ken Buck of Colorado, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Eli Crane of Arizona, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Bob Good of Virginia, Nancy Mace of South Carolina, Matt Rosendale of Montana — banded together with a fully united Democrat conference to declare the office of speaker vacant by a vote of 216-210, removing McCarthy (R-Calif.) from power.

Is this correct? Gaetz and 7 others were the only Republicans to vote to remove McCarthy? Is this the first time in history that the Democratic Party made a vote that the Poli board approved of?

It never fails. Even when there is a slight glimmer that a more conservative day could dawn, republicans claim loss.

Instead of congratulating democrats, you should probably reconsider the merits of what just happened.

Odd that Bobert didn’t follow Gaetz with this vote.

It's kind of funny how we have all been brainwashed on the immutability of government machinations.

For the despondent, what is McCarthy's greatest accomplishment as speaker?

Scratch that, too difficult. What is something McCarthy accomplished as the speaker?

This country is gone. Democrats never stray from the party line vote. Republicans eat their own and continually get played as useful idiots by the Democrats.
