Of course they think there's a wave of violence against them, part of their mindset is to project what they are doing onto those who aren't and then use that false reality to attempt to cloak themselves in victimhood. It's no different than the race-baiters who claim they are being treated worse today than "we were" (subtly including themselves into a period of time where they didn't even exist yet) in order to cloak themselves in the victimization of others often through nothing more than the association of skin color.

It's all about claiming to be a victim and trying to gain things through that claim.

“Jack shite”? That’s an easy slogan to type. It’s a lot harder to defend.

Political violence from the left exists. Political violence from the right exists. Both deserve prosecution but claiming “the overwhelming amount” has come from the left means ignoring decades of data, including years when nearly every extremist related murder was committed by right wing extremists. Reality doesn’t bend just because a narrative needs it to.

If you’ve got evidence that outweighs the historical record, post it. If not, dial the certainty back a notch.
