That has to be a really small list of people full of some really badass people.
I will yield the floor to posters like Lakeboy7 and others. I have not stayed up with the regulations regarding multiple awards of the CIB/CMB. But they used to be very strict (which kind of ticked off some guys who fought in Reagan/Bush era conflicts) on multiple awards. There is probably a good several hundred now that can claim at least two awards (1st Gulf War and current conflict). Very few triple awards left.

You are correct much more lax than prior to Iraq, wars tend to do that. I know for a fact the Panama guys got CIBs.

The faker seemed to know quite a bit (compared to the average civilian). I wonder did he study that stuff? Perhaps he had some service? Or is he just a sick person suffering from obsessive disorder?
I've seen a lot of wannabe cops who drive around in old crown vics with lots of antennae. Same thing, perhaps.

Maybe we could get this veteran to confront the fraud in the oval office. Would love to see nobama stammer and stutter his way through this guys heat.
Impeach Barack Hussein Obama

I'd imagine it's a mental illness of sorts. Asperger's or something. Fixated on military, wants to be one, dresses like one, etc. He didn't look completely right in the head.
I don't mind the guy getting pissed off. He's got a right.

The guy impersonating a soldier is a complete loser who deserves a good deal of shaming, but the manner in which this was carried out wasn't appropriate. Moreover, the people threatening this guy's family are far worse than anything he did by faking it.

I agree, but he seemed to have more going wrong upstairs other than just being a "loser" or as the poliboard often writes "looser".

As someone who served selflessly and valiantly myself, I can tell you that if I ever saw someone posing as an Indian Scout (Kickapoo tribe) in a fraudulent manner I would beat them sadistically about the face and neck. I had to make a lot of knots and sleep in a lot of tents to get that uniform. No short cuts, people.

Seems like I saw one of these imposter outing videos and the imposter actually turned out to be a 'Special Education' type who was infatuated with the military, had tried to get in, and was turned down for being slow.
Just saying, this guy looks slow to me.

Negative Ghostrider. Sometimes humiliation is totally appropriate. It's a lesson not only for the offender, but to other twits who may be thinking of doing the same thing.

Posing as a serviceman is always a pretty despicable thing to do, however, this rash of youtube videos of late that call these people out only make the ouster look even worse. Yeah the man in uniform is a slime ball for impersonating an Army Ranger, but he isn't bothering anyone. Some idiot starts shouting "fricking a-hole" around my child in the mall, I am going to have a problem with them.
You don't have family in the service do you? The dude was standing up to a fraud. Good for him. He can cuss around my kids with that type of passion for standing up for his fallen comrades anyday. Good for him.

The dude who made the video is a a fricking douche.
He shamed and cursed out a fat retarded person in the mall. What a fricking loser.
@ the dumb fricks here condoning this behavior.

Yes I do,
I don't know how you get that out of my statement.

Classy army folk. So much white trash in the army it's pathetic really.

I'm not military, so forgive me if incorrect.
The only possible soldiers who could have three CIBs are those who fought in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam?
No military knowledge here either. Why couldn't someone have 2 for Iraq and Afghanistan then a third from Desert Storm?

Dude obviously has problems beyond simple obesity. I have no problem with people getting videotaped and called out, but it isn't necessary to make a scene in a public place.
I dont condone what this fat guy did, or what others like him do, but it doesn't really take anything away from the memory of people who died. You are who you are, you done what you did. It means what it means to you and the people who know you. Some obese and mentally disturbed guy posing shouldn't really be all that upsetting.
Thats my take, I know a lot of people disagree.

You can be awarded a combat infantry badge for each conflict, regardless of geographic location. If Afghanistan and Iraq are considered the same conflict then you dont get multiples.
There really isnt that much reasoning behind most of the military awards and decorations and regulations change all the time. Things like badges aren't quite as meaningful as they seems in a lot of cases because everyone's circumstances are so different that it would be impossible to summarize ones performance with a trinket on a uniform.
They look cool, they get you street cred, people assume all sorts of things about a person because of his decorations. Most of the time it only takes a few minutes of working with someone to learn what you need to know about them anyhow. Ive never been a fan of awards, tabs, and badges because of the paper tiger effect it can generate. They aren't going anywhere any time soon though.

GWOT is only considered 1 campaign. To have two stars he would need to to have fought in either OEF or OIF, Desert Shield/Storm, and then Vietnam/Korea/or Somalia.
