Wait, what knife crime problem? I have heard absolutely nothing about this.

Lest we forget, most cops in London and elsewhere also do not have guns, and have been known to run away from blade-wielding jihadists and others. The cops were relieved of their firearms years ago because some people "didn't feel safe."
Because they're stupid. Say it with me folks.
They'd rather FEEL safe than BE safe.
one more time, for the bumper sticker
They'd rather FEEL safe than BE safe.

For London’s emergency services, the end of one year and the beginning of another did not bring about renewal and change. Instead, there was a depressing continuity. In one 15-hour period, rolling from New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day, four young men died in unrelated knife attacks across the city.
Less than two days later, a 20-year-old man was hospitalised after being chased through the west London suburb of Harrow and stabbed more than ten times.
Knife crime remains a problem on the streets of London. There were 80 people stabbed to death in the capital during 2017, one killing with a knife every four-and-a-half days. Thousands more were victims of non-fatal blade crimes. And as more funerals take place throughout the early weeks of January, there is little optimism the epidemic is over.

Mayor Sadiq Khan, who recently launched the "London Needs You Alive" campaign, has promised to "stamp out this scourge" in 2018.

Most of our cops shouldn't have guns either.

Guns are a force equalizer, meaning a frail old lady can do as much damage as a young man in top physical shape.
Stop knife problems by giving good people guns.

When you give up modern weaponry,
8th century weapons reign supreme.

I hope no one got paid to come up with that.

I seriously hope they try to ban knives.

I have. they actually have a "knife control" movement.
I forget. Why were the Scots in Braveheart training with rocks and logs again?

Did you read the article or just grab these headlines? I’m asking because it proposes more government intervention but not in the way I was assuming it was gong too

I have a microtech automatic knife and an AR-15. In London, I’d spend the rest of my life in prison
There is NO REASON anyone needs a 12" chef's knife. The monarch did not envision such knives when it gave us the magna carta.

When I PCS'd there, I got an email from customs over my fricking kitchen knives
They are notorious for destroying peoples swords they get as going away gifts when they leave Pacific command.
No guns so people just stab the frick out of others, or use baseball bats.
They have firearms officers but not enough.
