God it must take major balls to be a cop in London carrying only a night stick.

Did you read the article or just grab these headlines? I’m asking because it proposes more government intervention but not in the way I was assuming it was gong too

I did, but i didn't want to give Scotland's "solution" the time of day. Yes, it involved the government threatening to jail people for no offense, and I'd have loved to harp on that, but this is really more about the non-proliferation of the knife crime problem as a news story and, of course, the uselessness of gun bans.

Just goes to show that bad people will so bad things no matter what laws are passed. This is why the right to have guns is so important. You can’t always rely on the police (not always their fault). You need to be able to protect yourself.

I grew up a gun enthusiast, but lately I've really been getting into edged weapons.

I'm not sure why.

There is just something satisfying about having a good blade that I have personally put a razors edge on.

Gonna use some MSNBC logic. Does the bullet from a 9mm handgun travel faster than a knife being thrusted? If so, cops might actually be able to protect those citizens from knife attacks.
