Rental properties shouldn’t exist. Of course they are more popular than ever with lazy arse millennials who won’t get off their arse and buy a house.

It’s not just Millennials. We have hoards of Illegal Immigrants coming here that are called ‘migrants’ that are being shipped all over the country and being moved into this housing with the help of the federal government.

You can also factor in the unnatural population increase due to the democrats open borders policy. The demand for low income housing has never been greater.

Basically a description of what happened in New Orleans East. When considering its location and potential ambience with its lakes, natural and man-made, it should've become one of the jewels of Orleans.

Even with the existence of high-end subdivisions like Eastover and those homes around what was called Indian Lake could not slow the retrogression.

Now it's a model for all the world to see about what not to do in urban planning.

The proliferation of multiple dwellings that eventually became Section 8 over time made peaceful existence there for self-sustaining families just about impossible.

Haynes Blvd itself overlooking Lake Pontchartrain should be an explosion of capitalist activity.

Yet, despite the posturing and occasional announcements of plans to resurrect the 6-Flags site, nobody in his right mind really wants to go near it.

But for what's going on across the country, when the Left has a definite social purpose in mind, property values, peace, and tranquility mean nothing.

If "mixed use" is involved in any of them, regardless of how high-end they are with fancy rents and all, the peace and ambience will not be sustained.

That'll boost the cochon de lait industry exponentially, with all the new immigrants coming in.

Heck, we got tens of thousands of wild hogs across the state line we're willing to export for that purpose.

It’s also the reason the Chicago crime has spread. They moved at least some of housing projects from the inner city around the Chicago area. The article I read described how the project drug dealers went from only being a certain part of Chicago to all around the city and brought the civil violent crime with them.

There's a new documentary about Michelle Obama and apparently it goes into how she was hired to be the face of shutting projects down to get them moved out so white developers could get the land. She was the "black face of the honkies" to convince blacks it's not a bad thing.

If interest rates continue to rise, home sales will drastically be cut back. There’ll be a huge renters market.

Blount county has one being finished on hwy 129 in Alcohol TN. And has a huge cookie cutter subdivision being finished in the county.

The county is growing but this seems excessive

This goes back to the Obama Administration, as he's always pushed for HUD to develop restrictions on single family dwellings. This was a special project for Eric Holder & it's his plan HUD officials are using to restrict contractors from building single family housing in favor of multiple family housing developments. The goal is to bring the projects to the white suburbs. This has been a leftist plan going back to Obama. A friend is a contractor in a small La. town & he's been saying how HUD's control of Federal funding for housing has been geared towards this goal.

This plus the tax base increases, permits increase allowing more money laundering…all the while neglecting the infrastructure and drainage and the whole thing turns to shite

I wonder if the cities where these mistakes are being built take into account the huge draw on the electrical grid, new traffic on the small streets , increase in garbage, overloading the public schools, and over filling the sewage treatment plants. All of these apts. have to flush and take a shower.

Before I was married I lived in apts. and I hated it . If I were single today I would live in a used popup camper in the parking where I work. Damn I could save some money.

I can’t stand elected official precisely because of this. Nothing but their own self interest in mind, at their voter’s expense!

There is a very large complex of apartments between Madison and Canton that just popped up. This may be what you are referring to but there is also a Nissan plant right near it which employs thousands. Let's hope it's for them.

The same thing is going on in W. St. Tammany between Covington and Folsom.

It could be our taxpayer dollars paying for it thru the USDA.

quote:

Multifamily Housing assists rural property owners through loans, loan guarantees, and grants that enable owners to develop and rehabilitate properties for low-income, elderly, and disabled individuals and families as well as domestic farm laborers.

Multifamily Housing works with the owners of its direct and farm labor housing loan properties to subsidize rents for low-income tenants who cannot afford to pay their full rent. Additionally, when a direct loan ends before its initial term, Multifamily Housing provides vouchers to protect eligible tenants who otherwise may face hardship if they cannot find other affordable housing.

Multifamily Housing utilizes a variety of tools to revitalize and preserve the physical and financial health of more than 14,000 properties currently in USDA’s rural rental portfolio. For example, restructuring loans for existing rural rental housing and off-farm labor housing properties allows them to maintain sufficient reserve funds to make necessary major repairs and improvements throughout the lifetime of these properties.

FIFY

They take from producers and give to parasites in exchange for their vote. That's why those on government assistance shouldn't be voting. You want a say in the process, carry your own weight.
