If tweet fails to load, click here. “I'm seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace.
I've noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can't trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts.
The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other.”

This is not a gotcha, Trump has been clear that his beef isn’t with the Iranian people and he wants to reintegrate them back into civilized culture. If he wanted to destroy them he could have taken out water towers and bridges. He wants to give them back their economy as soon as they allow verification. He’s trying to reward good faith. If the Iranians take the deal it won’t be in good faith. They may “behave” for a short while but will soon resort to surreptitiously funding Hamas, Hezbolleh and the Houthis. They will grow more bold with time as they re-arm and re-build. They are counting on the next President to not do a damn thing to stop them. They saw what happened with the Taliban. Sign a treaty then ignore it if the Dims get back in or even Vance.

Uh Vance says explicitly that money is going to flow into Iran if they meet their obligations. At this point regime change is definitely not happening and negotiations about Iran’s nuclear program have been tabled.
So Iran’s “obligations” under this deal are going to be to keep the straight open and not bomb other countries in the region. Basically we are going to give Iran billions to act the same way they were acting before the war.
What was the fricking point of the war again??
