Who will be his VP selection? I like Rubio but he is so good as SoS I would hope he continues in it. Either Desantis or Tulsi would make a great team.

After midterms is when the process begins

I like Vance to stay VP and Rubio to be at the top of the ticket. He’s infinitely more qualified and older than Vance.

Vance will have his shot down the road.

Vance secured his top spot by publicly supporting the Iran Deal. Rubio is likely very close to falling out Trump’s favor with his silence and reported apprehension concerning the agreement.

For 50 years Iran has been handled by many countries and leaders and it was shrugged off by most people. Trump takes action and very little time and people like you continue to think it’s a shitshow

Iran is a tough situation because there are no easy answers.

The regime running it are a really bad bunch of thugs and deserve to be swept aside.

The cost to do it is something the American people don't want to pay.

Both have the stank of this deal on them.

So as Secretary of State with a ton of experience, he can’t express concern privately ? I would hope if one of my employees had a concern in an area they have a great deal of experience would act like that if they felt that way.

But you have no way of knowing that and there is no credible source on it.

So now he gets what amounts to a participation trophy from you cultists?

Overall the political map and realities on the ground are the same now as before hostilities. IRGC still in charge. The regime is the same. Iran still intact. How is this good for JD Vance? It's a picture of a shitshow.

First of all you really think that the Iranian’s current leadership, whoever that is today, is going to honor this long term? Do you think that their proxies will honor it ? That their proxies won’t attack Israel or Saudi Arabia? This is just another stall tactic that needs played out until local populations get involved in a big way. Islamist don’t change their behavior that quickly as it’s deep seated in Iranian leadership for 2 generations now. But at least Trump is making shitt happen versus kicking can, but hey please by all means continue being the tunnel vision victimhood bitch that you enjoy

So stupid isn't a choice for you, it's congenital?

You guys keep changing your own definition of what constitutes the playing field. So now he should get credit for doing something? OK he did something and gained nothing.

Far from settled IMO.

Vance didn’t want the war but stayed loyal and eventually secured a peace deal.

Rubio wanted the war but didn’t like the peace deal.

I much prefer Vance but to be fair to Rubio it’s not like he’s out trashing Trump publicly either.

The primary will be Vance (AF) vs Rubio (conservatives and GOPe) with whoever gets the Trump backing likely to win because the maga base is clearly loyal to him.

This is the most basic truth of the situation.

I'm cool with JD or Rubio or some fiscal conservative unknown at this point. We'll see in a couple of years.
