You can’t be fired for saying something your employer doesn’t want you to?
Yeah, you can.
quote:
Profanity and Vulgarity: If you use foul language toward coworkers or customers, or if your workplace has strict civility/conduct policies, you can legally be fired.
Harassment or Hate Speech: Using derogatory terms, sexual harassment, or discriminatory slurs is grounds for immediate termination.
Insubordination: If a manager directs you to speak English to effectively perform a job duty and you refuse, you can be let go for insubordination.
You have employment-at-will states where they don't even need a reason.

Sounds like the college made the right choice.

I won't. She should be ostracized from society. I hope she ended up with less than a year's salary.

I approve too. We need to know who the demons among us are.
She looks to fit the part well. Now she gets paid for being a hateful person. Good for her and good for the OP.

if you're not inciting violence, you should be able to say what you like without getting fired
Now, let's make this a thing for the private workforce
Even if it causes harm to your employer? Makes me think of that wise saying “Don’t shite where you eat”.

Not if it violated her employee's rules. Look for wording to be included in future contracts

It’s like those metamorphosis diagrams that show larvae becoming bugs.

Why wouldn't they? Protected speech is protected speech.

Of course it's a fricking tranny.

If you work for the government, they can't fire you for exercising your first amendment as a private citizen.
This is news to you? They don't teach civics in grade school anymore?

So you want the federal government to tell private businesses if they can or can’t fire employees and what standards they’re able to set for them in regard to keeping their jobs.
Interesting.

Yes, your anti-Constitution takes on this website are well-documented.

So, a college can't fire a prof for saying something because the prof has 1st amendment rights? So, a prof can tell his class: 'The chancellor of this college and his whole staff are just a bunch of retarded figs.' Really?

Maybe she can use some of that money to fix those rotten teeth and throw in a nose job for that hook

They can; the protection is not absolute.
It's just harder.

Completely untrue. There are all sorts of ethical codes you must follow as a gov employee.

Your example is speech made wihle performing their duties as an employee. Thats very different from speech made off of the clock as a private citizen.
Seriously, no one understands the first amendment? It's literally first
