I never would have predicted this board would dog out servicemen as soft and their families as liars. But, here we are.

What I don’t understand is that no one seems to be able to grasp the operational environment that the carrier is in.

The board can sniff out obvious slanted propaganda BS that is meant to paint a "woe is me" picture of the carrier situation because of ten years of OMB.

My stepson is on the Uss Eisenhower. They did an 11 month deployment not to long ago. Just came out of POM. Doing workups to go again ahead of schedule. Life on a ship is a routine. My 1st ship was DDG57 Uss Mitscher. Did 2 6 month deployments, workups, north Atlantic 3 month deployment in 3 & a half years. You just suck it up & do your iob. Food sux so use hot sauce.

So that’s a vague criticism;

Would this fall under fake news, this is all lies?

Or is this shooting the messenger, but not disputing what happened?

The families are most likely TDS Karen's calling very political TDS Navy Times reporters. The one USS they started pearl clutching with nonsense over was relieved. Then they moved on to other ships in the fleet.

The nutcase Brian Krassastein was tweeting out a ship name begging for families to DM him.

Bottom line, all legit concerns are done via the Navy Ombudsman of the ship, Navy Relief, the Red Cross. NEVER reporters for low cheap political points, to blame the CIC and therefore protest doing their jobs.

I dont know how else to say this is plain stupidity and a factory of lies.

And if any sailor is whining to mommy Karen or family so reporters get contacted, they are indeed 100% pussies.... They need a captains mast for not using the proper chain of command, protocols.

Didn't the American People who were not proud Southerners sort of turn their backs on the boys returning from fighting in Vietnam? Didn't American mass media and American education turn their backs on them?

That happened.

Carrier life is easy. These guys are pussies.

And I served on a carrier when you had less things to occupy you time when not standing watch.

6 on/6 off or 12 on/12 off

Work, eat, sleep, watch TV, play cards, play video games, workout and jog the flight deck when flight ops were not occurring.

Yeah, sometimes sailors aren't cut out for life at sea and they do something dumb. It's happened plenty of times in the past.

Kind of crazy seeing how people have mentally changed over time. During WW2 there was no deployment period, sailors stayed with the ship on deployment until the war was over and the ship sank. The only time spent in port was at forward bases just to re-arm and re-fuel.

During the 2024 primary being in the military was compared to being on the dole.

When one considers military service, one should consider something like this happening. It is like joining the space force and never considering you might wind up in SPACE. Lucky for these folks they weren't in the Pacific Theater during World War II with kamikaze's crashing into the ship. The hardship and sacrifices of these whiny few are but a fraction of the ultimate sacrifice of the American's that perished in this conflict. It is combat -war. If nothing else, all of this whining shows the softness of American culture.

Watch this, it will clearly show that enough food and bug juice, water is planned in extreme accuracy. But in the end you have to maybe make due with red beans and rice.

Sometimes bathrooms need maintenence and more have to share a bathroom.

If you dont watch this, STFU.
