We need our lad Robby Starbuck to get on this, because frankly this is the most misaligned celebrity endorsement maybe ever.

The CEO of USAA needs to be fired and replaced by someone who will get USAA focused on the original mission...serving the military.

Stop trying to broaden the base and cut out all the TV commercials, focus on exceptional service (which ain't 'dere no more) and limited membership.

No wonder you're so easily fooled.

The mission of USAA was and always will be to make a profit.

.

3 years ago I switched from USAA to State Farm. I am getting home, earthquake and auto for $400 cheaper annually than USAA was for home (no earthquake).

USAA was phenomenal to my dad after Katrina and to me after I flipped and totaled my car in snow, so I didn't want to leave... but they gave me no choice.

As a long time USAA Member I can say .... most of us are pissed about this.

The new CEO isn't even a Veteran, plus he's woke. And woke-arse Sam Elliot can eat donkey balls.

One reason Sam Elliott has that gig is because he's a veteran.

My premium payments have nearly doubled since 2021 with no accidents or tickets in over 10 years. Ridiculous.

Be verrrry careful with State Farm. I've heard horror stories about SF payouts on several occasions.

Granted, this is free information on a free message board from an anonymous source. So take it FWIW, but when we were accumulating bids for hurricane damage a while back, several separate contractors assured us their work would be easily covered ... unless our carrier was SF.
It wasn't, fortunately.

No one can consistently compete with USAA auto or home insurance ... and I shop them every year. Most don't even try to compete once you tell them you have USAA.

Not only that, my CC rate is 4 pts less than any other card. I've got a $50k line on that card at 17.9% .... that's way less than my Amex, Citibank and Chase cards. Doesn't really matter in my case because I use them all for different purposes and pay them all off each month ... but my USAA card has the best rewards program.

I'm not complaining about their services. I am pissed about Sam Elliot and this new non-Vet CEO.

They've always been great for my car insurance. But, they were complete c-suckers when I bought my house and demanded I get a new roof. I didn't have time for that and went with AAA.

The ad campaign with Gronk is funny to me because I have no business having access to USAA. My pops was basically Hawkeye Pierce at Camp Pendleton for a couple of years.

It never became more obvious that when they hired the Elliott/Gronk team in their advertising campaign.

I actually have family veterans who recently switched from USAA because of increasing rates. They're doing better through local agents and getting better coverage.

Im in a better place financially now that I was when I made the switch so I'll take a look later this year. I've heard similar tales.

He has a real vendetta against me and says terrible things about me all over the site. It's very sad that he has such a poor sense of humour, but I am praying for him nonetheless.
