I've watched the vid and I can't tell If they actually collide. You see the Russian jet approaching and it begins dumping fuel as it passes over the drone but it's inconclusive in my opinion. It looks like the turbulence wash off the jet rocks the drone.....What do ya think?

If you watch the end, there are one or two blades of the prop that are bent.

Wouldnt it be a better idea to dump fuel on top of the drone and not below it? Russia's pilots are looking like massive idiots the past couple years.

Prop definitely damaged after the 2nd pass. I'd bet that scared hell out of the fighter pilot. Doubt seriously he intended to make contact.

Saw this earlier.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to prove. They buzzed our drone and we elected to drop it into the water. Video shows a single bent propeller blade.

I show my lack of knowledge with these comments, but...

1) I was surprised that the level of damage to the drone would prevent us from getting it home.

2) I was surprised that the Russian jet made contact with the drone and only damaged one blade of the propeller. What are the rpms on that thing and the odds of the prop slapping the jet only once?

The video goes off before we see impact. I’d suggest it’s largely inconclusive except for the angle of the second pass is much lower than that of the first.

It’s hard to imagine how there wasn’t a collision.

Edit: I see the video comes back and the prop is bent.

Lindsey Graham is right, time to down a few dozen Russian Planes

I say we start with a few civilian airliners and whatever aircraft Putins grandkids happen to be in

This is a perfectly good reason to start a nuclear war

Looks like a different prop...the first prop has yellow stripes and on the video showing the prop after the collision I don't see the yellow stripes.

Watch this vid, it shows the Russian jet dumping fuel and after the jet passes you see the prop undamaged with yellow stripes, then they show a vid of the damaged prop and I can't see the yellow stripes...sorry it's from the Communist News Network...

Hey, I'm not saying it didn't happen but when you look at the rear of a Reaper drone and where the prop is located it would be extremely difficult to simply clip the prop without smashing the drone and possibly downing the jet too.

You can see the damaged prop in the video.

Luckily the camera frame rate is close to the prop rpm or the prop would have been difficult to see in the video with such clarity.

Where are you seeing that? One is clearly damaged. I can't see that another is bent.

The initial damage to the prop we see in the video likely led to more subsequent damage to the prop making it inoperable. Just think of how imbalanced the prop became after the initial damage.

From the perspective of an Su-27, the Reaper at cruising speed is basically standing still. Russian pilot basically thought he was "buzzing the tower" like Maverick.

What am I missing? They show the prop after the first pass after the jet dumped fuel and it's a prop with yellow stripes with no damage, the next vid shows the damaged prop and I can't see the yellow stripes on the prop.

The angle of another blade is way off. You can only see the blade mostly edge on (should be about 45 degrees).

I cant tell if the yellow stripes are a thing or not. When then video comes back , it appears the drone is facing a different direction relative to the sun light. The sun is no longer shining on the same side of the blades as the camera view.

Edit: I zoomed in on the blade and I can see 2 faint yellow stripes. My guess is it’s the same drone, but the change in sunlight exposure from the new direction is making it tough to pick up.

Not the same drones, one has stripes on prop, the other doesn't.

No way one prop only gets bent.

It looks like one pass two different camera angles. You can still faintly see the yellow strips on the prop from the second camera. The prop has a dark shadow from the second camera angle making the yellow stripes difficult to see.

Also, I do see two damaged prop fins.

My thinking after watching the video was that it was gallons of fuel impacting the drone that bent the prop, not the Su-27.

Can’t imagine that the propellers are designed to move through that much liquid mid-flight.
