Wouldnt it be a better idea to dump fuel on top of the drone and not below it? Trajectory, flight path, moving target….
I would think the Russian didn’t hit the drone with his jet. It was whatever it dropped that hit the drone and bent the prop. I guess it was fuel like was said, and it was obviously done on purpose to take the drone out.

It’s not possible though.
The fuel vaporizes instantly so it’s no worse than a rain storm.

Not at the distance the jet is from the drone. Still, pretty obvious to me there was physical impact between the jet and drone.

Not too sure about that. They have been dumping fuel on drones for a while now. It can frick with the intakes and the electronics onboard.

I don't see how the plane would have impacted one single propeller blade (and like I said earlier, not shearing it off or ripping the whole prop off but only bending the one blade) out of this set up:
IMO, the plane would have had to hit some of the drone's airframe in any type of collision.
Doesn't ultimately matter though. Downing the drone is downing the drone. We would frick with Russia's toys too if the roles were reversed.

Here’s the Reaper:
I don’t see how the Russian plane impacted the propeller only and not rip off any tail stabilizers.
Not saying it didn’t or couldn’t happen but it looks like it would be extremely unlikely to do.

It's two propellers. There are good stills on twitter.
I think many people don't realize that the video is showing two flyovers by different pilots. The camera goes out after impact from the 2nd jet.

My ultimate point remains. How did it not hit the stabilizers or any other part of the drone?
That would seem incredibly unlikely, as the stabilizers extend both above and out to the sides of the prop. Freak 'accident' if it managed to do so, IMO.

Well, there are reports that the SU-27 landed in Crimea with some degree of damage. Of course, we'll never know because Russia will never show.

Good point. Hadn't seen that. If the Sukhoi was banged up, then a collision is much more believable/likely.

Ultimately we will have another one of these incidents. An incident that will spiral out of control leading to deadly catastrophic consequences.
There's a lot at stake in this proxy war with Russia.
Donald Trump disconnected America as the world policeman. Potatus plunged us right back.

I was surprised that the Russian jet made contact with the drone and only damaged one blade of the propeller.
Yea, me too. Not sure I believe them.

My thinking after watching the video was that it was gallons of fuel impacting the drone that bent the prop, not the Su-27.
Holy shite.
He's probably correct.

Lindsey Graham is right, time to down a few dozen Russian Planes
I say we start with a few civilian airliners and whatever aircraft Putins grandkids happen to be in
This is a perfectly good reason to start a nuclear war

This ^^^ is the important fact.

If f the US was engaged in a skirmish with a CCP or Russia backed nation....let's say it's Mexico or some other South American country and the CCP/Russia had a drone relaying surveillance and targeting information to military forces hostile to the US we would drop that drone wherever it's flying if we were to acquire targeting information.
Yes we would, they'd be assisting the enemy in killing our boys.

True but it won’t bend a prop lol
That Flanker made contact

Released by DOD and Biden is commander in chief.
I don’t trust anything from Biden, DOD or mainstream media.
They’ve been busted so many times lying about the Ukraine situation it’s embarrassing.
