Can you compare 1982 domestic oil production to 2026 domestic oil production? If so, please let us know.

I will bet my last dollar on the fact the USA is not nearly as dependent on foreign oil sources as it was in 1982. Please prove me wrong.

What does any of that have to do with the physical SPR being low? The actual qty of reserve barrels has dropped dramatically, no matter where the production and acquisition is coming from.

The "Strategic" ........reserve wouldn't be very strategic if they would actually let the whole world know how much oil we have. Especially our enemies.

According to the chart the drop began four or five years ago, was arrested and continued down after the war. The recent drop was not as dramatic as the one in Biden’s term.

What impacts did the previous drop have?

Of course it is. The SPR will be fine due to our increased production rates. The panicans felt they had another gotcha!!

Same publication talks about a destroyer adrift while the stock photo shows it going at 15 knots, slicing thru the water.

A country’s oil reserves is not the same thing as its strategic oil/petroleum reserves.

Well we’re actually using it correctly this time - in a time of war or emergency. Joe raided it because of his fricked up fiscal policy. I guess we just don’t want to talk about that because the current decline was no where near the decline under the previous administration. In fact if Joe hadn’t raided it like he did, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.
