More to come...

Initial jobless claims unexpectedly edged higher last week in a potential sign the labor market may be cooling amid tighter financial conditions. The print comes ahead of the government's monthly employment report for June due out Friday.

The rise in claims marked the highest weekly total since the week ended January 15, 2022 and comes as a growing number of companies across Corporate America announce hiring freezes and layoffs in anticipation of an economic downturn.

I refused to sign 3 contracts today. We bid the jobs back last fall. Since then, labor is up 17%, materials 20%, equip costs around 15%. Fuel is double.

The contractor got pissed. I told them sorry it's out of my control, and that we won't do work unless we meet our margins. They emailed back and said send them a price increase and they'll try to make it happen.

This shite is not sustainable.

If you don't think we are already in the midst of a recession, you are batshit crazy. It's only going to get much worse from here.

Many small businesses, restaurants especially, are having a very difficult time keeping their doors open.

We’ve been in a recession since April of 2020.

We’re just figuring it out now.

Just wait until they see the August numbers in early September.

June will be up slightly, July a little more, August bigly (I've been saying this for months now).

This is no different than when Jindal's economic house of cards crashed on him before he could get out of office. Anyone truly paying attention has already seen this coming.

Next up: world food shortage.

have they ever been right? or not in complete denial?

didn't the media routinely mock President Donald J. Trump in his exaggerations? "The biggest", "the best", etc.

So I guess biden's "exaggerations" don't matter.....

Driveway pressure washer guy wants 1000.00 to pressure wash what he did last year for 400.00. It is a bigger driveway as it’s a horseshoe but took 1-1/2 hours with the circular washer that you walk behind. Tells me gas increases and 25.00 per hour technicians to operate are the reasons why. I can rent and do myself for 200.00

Yeah, but "This is happening in every country all over the world, and because of the actions we've taken, we're in a stronger position than any other country in the world to overcome it"...

Was this really unexpected? We will very shortly find out we are in Q2 of negative GDP growth which is technically a recession. The only thing the puppet regime was holding on to was low unemployment so they could use that as an excuse to say "look, no recession".

This administration is fricking sunk.
