McConnell knows he doesn't have the votes to impeach. He will not call the Senate back to do the Democrats dirty work. To do so, would endanger every step that someone like Graham takes while strolling through Reagan International on his next trip. They won't simply yell at him.

There is no option to abstain; the rules require each Senator to stand up from their seat and give a convict/acquit vote.
Although I don't know what happens if Republicans simply boycott it entirely to deny a quorum or something.

I guess it would depend on whether it was actually “plainly treason” or whatever the left defined it as. We all know they are arbiters defining language to suit their agenda. You would think they might want to do a thorough investigation (clearly this current impeachment is for show) to determine the legitimacy of the “treasonous” act. If they did it would surely roll into the time of being a former President (I.e. private citizen) and at that point he’s not impeachable by the Dersh’s logic.
Don’t you think the dims would have done that if they thought it was possible? They’ve tried everything else.

Whether Senate moves on with it is irrelevant. No matter what happens, media will lie, liberals will be angry, and conservatives will continue to hope for shite that is never there. Cycle will always stay the same. Blacks will always suffer under liberal ownership
