and you don't see a problem with a president being able to weaponize a department that he oversees.

The conflict of interest there isn't clear to you? Really?

This. Some conservatives want to hide behind what they could do in the future while they ignore the fact they they have always found ways to cheat and move tax dollars to their causes.

This changes not one thing as far as what they dems may do.

How much do we think it is worth to recompense a citizen that is perp walked out of his house by ICE in the middle of winter and wearing nothing but a robe and his damned dirty undies?

If a tax return release is $1.7 billion invasion of privacy . . . .

The way I view it is that it signals to Democrats and RINO's in the IRS that if they attempt weaponizing the IRS against conservatives. That they can be held financially liable. They should make a law that does same thing to banks. If a bank debanks an individual based on their political affiliation they can be held liable.

There were people who were held for months on bogus charges with no recourse. You downplaying what actually happened doesn't actually change reality as much as you hope it will.

You think the people who weaponized the government are paying for this? This is taxpayer money and nobody is getting punished.

It's the system we built. If all 3 branches of government deprive citizens of their rights and liberty, it is the fault of the citizens who elected the criminals.

I think we should take the wealth of those in the government directly responsible, but I don't think that's a legal avenue at this point.

That depends on the specifics

Do you know the answers or was this just a smarmy reply?

The IRS didn't have to release Biden's tax returns. HE DID. Just like every other major presidential candidate has done for decades.

I’m debating whether it’s even worth reviewing the basics with you.

How much do we think it is worth to recompense a citizen's WIFE that is perp walked out of his house by the FBI on a freezing night and wearing nothing but a robe.

Some people are absolutely enraged that citizens who were very clearly harmed by the government might get remuneration for it. Is that facsim or just ignorance? Hard to tell.

It was a $10B invasion. How much of the $10B went to the plaintiff?

But those people weren’t party to this lawsuit. At all. They in fact have nothing to do with this settlement.

The real danger here is you don’t actually need the Trump v. DOJ litigation or a settlement of that litigation to create this fund. This is the DOJ and the President, without court approval or Congress, setting aside $1.7 billion to pay reparations to aggrieved people. Trump’s claims have no validity because they were never adjudicated.

AOC will and DHS will create a victims of DHS abuse slush fund and pay out billions to victims of DHS/ICE abuse and mint a millionaire out of every protester.

lol, DOGE

Yeah I’m sure they’ll get right on it. DOGE was almost as dumb as “90 deals in 90 days”.

Can’t believe anyone actually thought either were ever gonna happen.

Never heard of anyone who claims to be more victimized than this incredibly powerful and wealthy white man.

You are one of the few people who can make me defend Trump with your silly nonsense every. single. time. His name is mentioned.

He was pulled into an absolute farce of a Kangaroo court and "convicted" in the most obviously corrupt trial of this century, Hillary Clinton suborned a fraudulent dossier and knowingly falsely accused him of treason and stealing the 2016 election and the entire mainstream media carried that water for three years...oh yeah, he was shot in the ear by a guy aiming for his head, and targeted for two additional assassination attempts.

I guess stuff like being shot at only counts if you are black or a women.

If you're a white guy I guess you're supposed to rub some dirt on it and shut up.

You can claim all day that you aren't a Democrat and don't have TDS, but the mere mention of that guy's name causes you to post the most absolute fricking stupid ninny nonsense ever. Every time.
