Why is Massie supporting McCarthy? I don't get it.
I saw a documentary of him a while ago. He was building his own private ranch and got so pissed off at the local govt codes and regs. He decided to go to DC.

I am guessing he was promised a committee?

They all have a price or committee they want.

If the RINOs had simply supported Trump-backed candidates, there'd probably be enough McCarthy votes to have won in the first round. They're getting what they asked for.

McCarthy is losing it. He texted one of my colleagues who didn’t vote for him: “I am ready to fund an endless war” I’m assuming this is in *addition* to Ukraine.

Yep, much more than Repubs.

It's sad that 99% of them are insane.

Boebert live right now:

“Why were we fought so hard [by McCarthy] on these rules (concessions)?”

“Our border is wide open”

“The senate just past a $1.7 trillion bill”

“Getting our job done is what we were elected to do.”

“The President [Trump] needs to tell Kevin McCarthy, ‘Sir, you do not have the votes; it’s time to yield.’”

Probably because Trump said vote for McCarthy
quote:

ormer President Donald Trump offered a full-throated endorsement of ?Rep.-elect Kevin McCarthy’s bid to become House speaker Wednesday morning, urging all Republicans to “VOTE FOR KEVIN.”

“?Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA, THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE ?’?HOUSE?’ TWICE!,” the 76-year-old former president said in a posting on his Truth Social platform.?

“REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT & EMBARRASSING DEFEAT. IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE, YOU DESERVE IT. Kevin McCarthy will do a good job, and maybe even a GREAT JOB – JUST WATCH!?” Trump added. ?

Disagree with this statement. However, I do enjoy this debate and gridlock we have seen.

Eta, to clarify, you should def fund the candidates your voter base have. However, I’m not sure how blame McCarthy himself should get for this
