Ignorance of the law is no excuse, if it were no one would be in jail.

It’s the same sorry excuse Comey gave for not pursuing Hillary’s egregious email crimes. The Dem playbook.

isn’t as easy as saying that she claimed a second primary residence.

No one "claimed it".

Its on the legal loan documents she signed

Yes. Exactly. Try and prove that she did. And do so at great length and great expense. Make her waddle her fat arse in and out of depositions and courtrooms for the next five to seven years. Drain her finances. Drain her spirit. Drain her health. Make her regret the day she decided to go down this path.

Letting criminals get away scot free is how you end up with Portland and Chicago.

I’m so sick of this game. I’m so sick of it all.

We’ve been told such a lie about the foundational principles of this country.

There is no such thing as justice and their never will be. I say this anecdotally from a few things throughout the years in my personal life, ans also just sitting back and observing how captured our judiciary is across the entire country.

There is never any justice. It’s just a game.

If this was you or I we would be indicted immediately. Especially as a high ranking individual she would have known better. A US attorney doesn't know the law, BS.

Except here is the line of demarcation between her and the rest of us. She is the top prosecutor in NYC and and this is a big AND she spent tens of millions of dollars prosecuting a former and now current president for MORTGAGE FRAUD!!

This bitch has ZERO and I mean ZERO excuse for not knowing the fricking law!!! Claiming it’s hard to prove intent is a cop out by sorry arse prosecutors who don’t want to prosecute because they don’t want it fricking up a career appointment down the road. The law is the law is the law. frick this bitch

It doesn’t matter, she is a democrat and their is never justice government officials.

It’s finally clicked for me today. Good people will always suffer and bad people will always get away with it. ALWAYS.

Justice is and always has been a lie.

Proving that they knew and acted with intent to defraud to a jury is a different matter.

so any crime (murder) included example " i hoped bullet hit my target but did not know it would kill "
judge "sounds logical dismissed " !

What about lying on the number of rooms in one of the houses because it would have fallen under a different classification

ETA: I’m not saying she didn’t know. Of course she did. Everyone who does this knows. Proving that they knew and acted with intent to defraud to a jury is a different matter.

So she'll claim that she knowingly lied but was unaware that she stood to benefit financially from the lie?

Setting everything political aside, proving intent in these types of cases is not easy. It’s not shocking that prosecutors are hesitant to take it on

The only time I ever see "intent" used as reason to not prosecute is when the crime is by a liberal politician. I just read a news story about two ladies that own a DQ in New York state and they are being prosecuted to bankruptcy because they have always paid employees bi weekly. Unknown to them and their payroll provider and lots of others, New York has a law that requires weekly pay. So, why do they not get to use intent as their defense?

Why did Trump not get to use intent in his defense when he was prosecuted for non crimes. Did he intend to psychologically rape a weirdo or did she just believe she was raped? Did he intend to commit fraud by paying his loans in full?

Oh but, Hillary get off by Comey who said she did not intend to keep all her emails and classified documents on a non government private server in her bathroom.

I grew up understanding that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Isn't this the same as using intent as a defense/excuse?

She should be removed for either leaking this to the press or presiding over subordinates who decided to leak this to the press after she told them.
