Haiti is a Very puzzling place.
So much corruption. They get billions in aid from the US and elsewhere.
Seems to me that when you give so much to a corrupt government, it becomes counter productive. The leaders just take the Aid and ignore the people which causes insurrections.
Maybe time to cut them off and let things work themselves out

Unfortunately not. They killed all the white people in 1804 and created the second oldest republic in the Western Hemisphere. Kind of downhill from there.

Haiti was a popular tourist destination until the 70s. Instead of diversifying their economy they were left with nothing when the tourist industry stopped due to AIDS. They created the shithole they live in.
