I am getting lashed out on social media from my teacher friends (and I am one too). I do not believe this money should go to everyone, but only those who lost their jobs. I believe this is a waste of money in many ways.
They put 20k of additional debt in my name just to send me back 1.2k, and now you're saying I shouldn't even have gotten that.
If your point is this entire thing is half baked and stupid, I completely agree with you. If your point is only people who lost jobs should get it, I'd point to the added on benefits.

The fed government borrowed $18k off every American’s name...the least it can do is give us back less than 10%

I disagree because they might end up losing their job if they haven’t already.

False. I’m not getting a cent, and I’m still working. I should get double pay while the nonessentials out there are getting paid to sit on their asses.

its been stated 50 times already, but the stimulus check has nothing to do with unemployment.
thats what the 'unemployment +$600' is for

Lol, that's called unemployment, not a stimulus check, dummy.

My wife and I don't qualify for the handout.
Even though we pay 10's of thousands in Federal Income Tax.
Usually the people who bark the most about the handout , pay in the least if any.
Some retards think if it comes out of their check , they pay even if they get it all back plus some in refund.
We have a fricked up country.

As much as I support Trump, I don’t agree with this. Why would NBA and MLB players need this check? They are already multi millionaires
what the hell are you talking about lol

I have to disagree with this just because of this fact: no, I haven’t lost either of my jobs. However, I have lost a ton of income and business during this outbreak as well as my fiancée. The $1700 she is getting and the $1200 I am getting are going to keep us up and on our feet while we recover from this.

I know mall workers who work at high end stores for 8-10 hours a week for the discount and they are getting $600 a week. They did not make that for a month. Insane!

I understand what you are saying. I did not lose my job, however, I have lost close to or slightly over $15k in commissions that I would have earned if not for this CV19 ordeal.
I'm a lot more fortunate that many others and I am still doing very well but that was a significant hit to what I was expecting to make over the past 15 and next 30 days.

I agree with the OP. Having said that I haven't lost my job and I have no guilt in taking the check. I see it is as a small refund for never getting the tax breaks that married people get for the last thirty years.
