Right... he should check his own privilege bc if he wasn’t an athlete , UT is hard to get into, I doubt he would’ve qualified much less get a free ride straight up instead he gets a pass and lower standards bc he plays football .

They should immediately rescind his scholarship, but explain that they are working on his demands. When the school feels they are up to his demands, they'll offer him a scholarship to return.

One of his demands is for the band to stop playing "The Eyes Of Texas Are On You". That alone will never happen. Too many rich alumni love that song as one of UT's oldest, most famous traditions.

The university's response at the time was a request for patience on the players' part to give the university time to evaluate each demand. Chances the UT fat cat alumni said "frick no" & they are back at square one.
