United Cajun Navy Sets the record straight regarding the recovery of Nolan Wells' body

The leader of grassroots rescue group United Cajun Navy wants to “set the record straight,” clarifying that Nolan Wells was not fully clothed when the missing teen’s body was found in the water in Mississippi.
During a Wednesday press conference announcing preliminary results from an independent autopsy into the death of the football player, civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump said the United Cajun Navy told him Wells’ body was found “fully clothed” on Horn Island — despite Wells being seen that day wearing only swimming trunks.
The comment appears to have spiraled from an interview on Monday’s “Nancy Grace Show,” when the host interviewed Todd Terrell, founder and president of the volunteer-led disaster relief organization, United Cajun Navy.

I know about Nancy Grace and her sensationalism, but the main part of the story is about the narrative Crump is trying to push.

Yes, and every prominent race baiter that Booker T. Washington told America about in 1903 is waiting in line right now to foment anger while picking up donations and all other kinds of "revenue".

In that setting, fully clothed meant wearing swimwear. As opposed to being completely naked, which might indicate obvious foul play. I think the confusion lies in people’s understanding of the setting.

That's an impressive attempt to stretch to provide cover for Crump's race-baiting with bullshite semantics, but it still fails. He didn't say "fully clothed considering a beach setting," he said "fully clothed" which -in the absolute least- implies shirt, pants/shorts and shoes.

I can see your point here. A follow up question by the interviewer could have cleared that up right on the spot. There were 1000 people there clothed the same way as the victim.

Maybe, but remember the guy who said that was asked 2 questions at once. The way I read the OP is that he answered in the affirmative for the first part (body was face down) and just let the second part (being fully clothed) slide without actual malice in mind.

Sorry, but I had to laugh at that. I’ve been nothing but critical of Crump in every post about this subject.
I think the Cajun navy guy misspoke basically. I don’t think he was trying to push a narrative.

Ben crump actually said he was found with a shirt on. Asking how did he put a shirt on.
Also this lady opened her show saying things don't add up when 4 friends go to an uninhabited island and only 3 come back. How does she even have a show.

Anne that’s the point. Crump is trying to create a “setting” that probably didn’t exist so that he can confuse peoples understanding.

First, who’s Anne?
Second, my understanding is that Crump quoted the Cajun navy rep who misspoke and had to amend his statement. The problem is, the original statement is still floating around.
Crump was wrong to even get involved in the first place, but there are also other confounding things going on that are confusing the issue.
