And yet there’s a serious psychological and emotional investment by 30-ish percent of the country into Ukraine. That’s really freaking weird.

It IS weird.

It has to be a psyop. I mean, we as a country are plagued with a huge stupidity problem but this seems to go well beyond that even. The flip flopping contortions people are going through to support Ukraine is pathetic and - dangerous

a psyop by the forever war people and the IC

did you see that they, Defense Dept/IC, are not being audited beyond 30% or so. That needs to change

Unaccountability allows things like wars and brainwashing people en mass possible - and it needs to cease.

He was a low-level KGB officer who resigned after the anti-Gorbachev coup and drove a taxi to feed himself. He was not “instrumental” in anything.

Nothing major. Would be a good way to escalate and get nuked.

The US was trying to nation build in a country that wasn’t a nation, that was in a centuries long civil/tribal war. Never get involved in a civil war and never try to nation build a Stone Age geographic region (it’s hardly a country). The US just quit after 20 years, but in now way we’re we routed or driven out by the taliban. Completely different situation. When we invaded, there were no roadblocks or setbacks.

What? when were you deployed to Afghanistan? were you part of ISAF? do you have a NATO medal? do you have an Operation Enduring Freedom medal?

Fun fact. I was there for 15 months. my Brigades mission was to route out Taliban fighters via night raids and kinetic per commanders discretion. there was no nation building. straight up in the heart of Taliban country fighting day and night to clear them out. spoiler alert they came hard and never took one step back. my Company had 95 personal, 15 purple hearts. we had 1 silver star with a v device awarded to an NCO and almost everyone got ARCOM with v(valor) device.

About the nation building part. did you not witness the full on retreat at Kabul Airport. Taliban 5 meters outside the wire armed to the teeth. they even killed American service men and women to add salt to injury. so yes frick you I'm right. we lost in Afghanistan. period.

This is what has become apparent to me as I study the last 65 years of US history.

If true, then the USA is a very evil country.

I'm not going to pretend to understand military strategy or what Russia is trying to do, but many people who seem to understand that stuff were shocked that this wasn't the first thing that Russia did in the war.

These 2 countries were 1 country barely over 30 years ago. That's why Russia didn't commit to immediate infrastructure collapse to start the war, because it wasn't supposed to be much of a "war" before Western intervention.

funny how these dudes with know actual first hand experience keep saying we didn't lose in Afghanistan. all the guys I served with agree that we lost. Afghanistan was one of the biggest military failures of the 21st century.

Would you agree that most of these operations are money laundering schemes?

Since we now apparently own this territory, rename it Wakanda and send all of the reparations seeking persons there with all of their belongings and give them one million each. Of course their American citizenship must be revoked as one of the conditions.

wouldn't call it money laundering. just one of the most profitable wars for the civilian sector. civilian contractors were making big bucks in both Iraq and Afghanistan. on the super FOBs(forward operating base) you had Mcdonalds, starbucks, taco bell, burger king and everything you could get your hands on in the states. they had salsa nights. celebrity autograph events. US generals were living lavishly, it was like their own kingdom in the middle east.

The money is to keep Zelensky very quiet about the US political corruption within Ukraine. Biden will sell Jill if he has to in order to hide his criminality.

Serious (if unrelated) question.

Are you dictating? And have you recently updated your iOS?

Since my last update, Siri is making the same error when I dictate. OFTEN.

How dare Ukraine not just collapse and capitulate. Totally unreasonable that they would defend their territory or solicit foreign assistance. They should have just given up the eastern third of their country and their entire coastline. How ridiculous of them. They were dominated by Moscow for 500 years, I just can’t believe they didn’t willingly accept a return to that dynamic.

The only possible reason for their continued effort and defense is western money laundering and the protection of US biolabs
