The reactions from Europeans here for the World Cup to how much we have in the USA should be an eye-opener to leftists who think they want what Europeans "have." The reality is they don't "have" much of anything.

In all seriousness, what does the UK produce and give to the world?

Historically? Almost everything we value - the Industrial Revolution, a brilliant canon of literature, the antecedent institutions that led to the American Revolution, governmental institutions spread throughout the world, a huge part in the ending of slavery.

Currently? Kier Starmer, rape gangs and spensive lectricity.

A solid warning... to not become them.

There is a novel called Humbolt’s Gift. That’s what the gift turns out to be - an example by Humbolt of how not to live.

I saw a video of someone walking around the UK and it's shocking how they destroyed it is . It's like one big downtown LA now. The guy filming was scared to death to be filming because he knows that if they see him walking around with a camera filming, he might get his throat slit

Okay, this is complete fake news. Sorry.

I have a house in England. There is no place in the UK where I can’t walk around filming. Zero such places.

Never heard of it, looked it up and it looks like a good read, thanks for the idea!

This is why they did not want the US doing anything with Iran. Iran was a cash cow for the banking, insurance cartels.

I’m not disagreeing with this, but I’m inclined to. I don’t think the UK had much motivation to protect Iran. I think their reasons for not supporting the US had zero to do with insurance and were mostly this:

1. They expected chaos to ensue which would drive up oil prices.
2. They have severe fiscal problems and don’t want the added expense.
3. They have a lot of Muslim voters and they are pandering to them.
4. Iran bribes their politicians to encourage illegal immigration, so they (Iran) already have their hooks in them.

We had a British couple move in next door to us when we lived in Katy. They couldn’t believe they could afford a 3,000 sf house with a pool here, and were amazed by things as simple as our movie theaters and when we took them to the skating rink with their kids.

This! My daughter lives in the UK with her British husband and three children. They are substantially poorer than her siblings and cousins in America, and there is no other underlying reason why they should be.

I've been to England and Ireland once. My take? America is the land of plenty. Europe is the land of scarcity .

Disagree with them about anything and they think you oppose them on everything. I’ve dealt with the same shite as well - not as much as you because I’m not a fricking commie!

In all seriousness, they had to morph into a trade and service economy because natural resources are limited.

Have you read “Guns, Germs, and Steel”…?

I keep telling gloom and doom populists this every time they start to melt claiming that the United States is ruined.

You must be talking about a different board. All the doom and gloom here comes from the people who call populists cultists for not being doom and gloom enough.

It wasn't populists predicting WW3, mass inflation, or $10 gas. It's not the populists ignoring everything Trump does domestically just so they can say nothing is being done. It's not the populists complaining that tax breaks increase spending. It's not the populists complaining about the External Revenue Service.

Watching the Brit Reacts videos is nice because at least someone appreciates this country. The left hates it, and the right does nothing but complain.

Lloyd's of London is the only thing I can think of; so nothing "tangible".

Ok that's fine, but it still doesn't cover up the fact that the place looks like a shithole 3rd world country. I did see that with my own two eyes

Maybe.

Maybe America is fricking awesome and way better than their shitholes, and conservative Americans already know this.

I've never been to Europe but I've been to (and lived for a number of years) on a couple of other continents, and was always glad to have been born in, raised in, and live in the United States of America.
