Phelan was signaling to independents and squishy Republicans it's ok to not vote for Paxton, he was really encouraging people not to vote for Paxton based on his high moral character and superior judgement.

Drunk Dade Phelan. That Ken Paxton Impeachment acquittal in the Texas Senate sure broke up that Dade Phelan / Mafia Democrat / RINO / Bush Priority Legislation Scheme. Strange bedfellows, eh?
Never said draining the swamp was going to be easy. It's more like pulling teeth, actually.
I'm really amazed at how many tenacles these UniParty arrangements have. You got your Turtle (Mitch McConnel) connection with the ChiComs in this corner. The Bush II / Bill Clinton "you scratch my back I scratch yours" connection over in this other corner. Then you got Bush II taking swooning pictures with Moochelle. I can't keep up with these Washington connections.
Then our pal John Thune telling us Repubs - well, we can't pass the SAVE Act cause we don't have the votes (wink,wink). Yeah, right.
What I'd like to know - has anybody been able to determine why Elaine Chao (Turtle's wife) traveled to Chyna after her husband's health crisis? Reportedly to meet with Xi Jinping? What was that all about?
But there is one commonality between all these crooks (excuse me) politicians - they all loathe Donald Trump.
