Which makes them even more willing to risk it and move to a sanctuary area

I know of a few that left Lake Charles for Cali when all of this started, specifically for the protection of the state

Selective enforcement, even to try to maximize deportations, will only create metros of illegals and also throw off the balance of state reps even though illegals aren't supposed to be counted

Are you arguing that feds doing immigration ops aren't in MN?

That would be silly.

It seems, again, that you didn't read good. Now you're doubling down on silliness instead of admitting your mistake.

This strategy will just make portland and Minneapolis worse. Lack of enforcing the laws there for so long allowed these places to get so out of hand, by design.

exactly opposite

They can do multiple operations at once.

As a matter of fact, they can quietly do more elsewhere now because the loons can only focus on one thing at a time.

Enforce laws only where it's easy!

Let illegals skew representation in blues states!

Start massively fining businesses who employ the invaders ... I've always thought this is the cleanest way. Im talking fines that will bankrupt their companies. If you can prove a repeated pattern you can throw these business owners in jail. Lawfare these people I don't care.

Minnesota is more than just Minneapolis.

What about the US citizens in MN that didn’t want (and don’t want to continue to bear the burden of) these illegals?

The point is removing resources from inefficient locations (MN) and putting them in areas where they are operating currently with more efficiency.

No. Because if you do that it teaches "resisting" works and then suddenly you have other areas banding together like they are in Minneapolis. You don't embolden these people. You break them. It's important to show that this type of behavior will not be effective.

Again, you are naive if you don't think there will be mass hoards fleeing for a sanctuary state if you practice selective enforcement

These people come here with nothing so switching states with nothing doesn't matter to them. Especially if they know they can get immediate help from their new state

An unintended consequence of this could be to focus the protestors on Minnesota while ICE efficiently hoovers up illegals elsewhere.
