He's not saying the NPC memes are racist. He's claiming that twitter's banning of them is. It's still a weird point, but WB is not hating on Trump.

I didn't realize NPC was supposed to be racist. I just thought it was a bad meme.

Or...

...you’re less than effective at communicating your point.

I mean, I got what you were saying. But you could’ve phrased it better. I can see how people might get confused.

The rationale is that NPC accounts serve as a form of voter suppression, mainly in that some have been caught referring to the incorrect date in tweets related to the mid-term elections.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that a gray caricature, of all things, ISN'T racist?

Is this a troll thread or what

Twitter’s standard for “voter suppression” is just anyone who presents anything other than the Democratic Party’s official message.

Here's a great 8 minute piece on it.

There are two ways to look at “NPC”.

For those who played old school games like Dungeons and Dragons, those are all the characters controlled by the Dungeon Master who have preset conversation statements, no matter the situation or interaction. They can only respond in set ways.

For the more modern people, they are the computer characters in video games who aren’t controlled by people and have only a certain number of phrases they ever say. Again, they cannot say anything they aren’t programmed to say.

Essentially, it is a fantastic insult to use against progressives. It is basically calling them a drone in the funniest way possible.

Twitter says npc accounts are participating in voter suppression by quoting the wrong election date in some of their posts. Since voter suppression is racist, the npc accounts must be racist and were banned for that.

Besides the false premise that all voter suppression is inherently racists, Twitter is implying that only a certain race is stupid enough to fall for it.

I feel sorry for anyone who played D&D that way. The DM must have truly sucked. The more accurate depiction is the computer game characters who are truly limited in response.
