I don't know why I am wasting my time trying to explain this to you, but maybe someone else will become a little educated on why the old man was left there while the cameras were rolling.
When in crowd control/ riot control formation everyone has a specific job to do.
First line usually shields to push back/ clear an area
Second line has less than lethal, think pepper spray, riot baton, Tasers, etc.
Third line lethal means
Behind this formation are the ones who do the cuffing and arresting
Behind them are the medical personnel, EMTs, medics, etc.
If 1 person doesn't do their job the whole effort fails.
The old man was stepped over until the right line of personnel got to him.

They didn't just step over him. One cop called out he was injured and started to check him. Another cop grabbed that one and got him back in position because it wasn't his job to provide medical aid, it was their job to maintain their line.
They immediately called for a medic. Within seconds two people in military gear, I assume they were National Guard medics, started taking care of the guy.
Neither cop intended for him to fall over and smack his head. I can guarantee almost every person on this board would have pushed him away if he were in their face like that, I know I would.

Average length of hospital stay for skull fracture is probably around 4-6 days.

The only reports that I can find that he was in ICU then moved to the rehab wing of the hospital come from a public defense attorney FRIEND of Mr. Gugino.
