Tuberville promised multiple times in his senate campaign his salary would be donated to Alabama veterans. They are still waiting.

LINK

I am fully aware he will win the governor race easily. I am aware people don’t like Doug Jones, that’s all well and good. But damn, would be nice if the Alabama GOP could have come up with a better candidate.

They try to match OMB in rhetoric at times but fail to follow through

The GOP in Alabama is a joke. I'm voting for Tubberville while holding my nose.

I can't accurately gage Alabama voting patterns, but it would seem any competent caddidate-- even Doug Jones, the former Senator, is a better option than Tubs

There are over 300000 veterans in alabama. Tf you want the gubment to use resources and manpower to send all of them 50 cents each? Why so you can bitch about muh taxes being wasted?

I listened to a comprehensive interview with Tub on Real America’s Voice yesterday, on Bolling. Tub is straightforward and clearly sees that this next election is a winner take all scenario. And that there is no way that Dems should be allowed to take power via harvested, non-citizen ballots. No way! Period. It’s either-or. K

It’s going to the streets sooner or later. That is why Biden/Dems opened the Border to all those “military aged males.

I’d take Tuberville over Jeff Landry.

For one thing, he’s not a (TPOS) lawyer.

That’s pretty obvious considering how broadly popular Tubs is here.

They're all corporate bought and do what the corps tell them. Meemaw was a drone. Tuberville will be a more charming drone. Same federal money will get funneled to the same interests.

He's awful, and in all the ways that MAGA claims they hate.

A (fairly stupid) Elitist profiting on insider trading, lying and making campaign promises he never intends to keep.

But Trump endorses him, so the hypocrisy of MAGA is on full display when it comes to that guy.

This is the correct answer.

I don't think I am.

The only way anything is going to ever improve in this state is if we get to the point at which the party here is responsive and responsible. Voting for Tuberville is a step in the wrong direction if that is the goal.

Tuberville is going to win handily but he can probably win by sleepwalking, but he’s going to face the most enthusiastic and energized Democratic Party we’ve seen in Alabama for some time. Jones isn’t campaigning to be a moderate, he’s checking off all the far left boxes even though he’s had the nomination wrapped up for months.

Would be great to see Tuberville put his foot on the gas and show these pretentious “Blue Dots in a red state” libs that it’s pointless no matter what.

Tuberville has the money and the brand to be a great governor, I’m still not really sure whether or not he will though.

Money and "brand" is what makes someone a great leader?

One more thing:

Every time Tuberville puts out a campaign ad showing himself holding a football or tossing it up and down, he's basically reveling in how stupid the Republican voters in Alabama are.

Did you even read the article? Tommy Tuberville pledged he would donate his personal Senate salary to veterans. He has not fulfilled that pledge. That’s what I’m pointing out.

Has nothing to do with my tax dollars. Will Tubbs follow through, or was that all just lip service?

That may be true. But he definitely doesn’t have the brains.

I think Katie Britt should have run. She would have won in a walk and maybe gotten out of DC with her name still in good standing. That said, that seat she has on Approps is probably more powerful for AL than being the Governor.

...and she would continue Kay Ivey's tradition of being an absolute babe in office.

Alabama is secretly an establishment state. There hasn’t been a true outsider in the Governor’s mansion in a long time. A Governor with political capital (or brand) who can come in and not be beholden to MGM lobbyists or the Goat Hill crowd. For instance, someone who could come in and shake up ALDOT or tell Alabama Power to frick off.

On paper, Tuberville has the opportunity to do all of that. I’m show-me on if he will. Hope he does.
