And it worked.
INDEED!

It worked for us as it demonstrated to populations of countries (EU, UK, China, India) dependent on trans-Hormuz oil, yet simultaneously cowering from protection of the strait, that they were Iranian cucks.

We blockaded the strait.

The strait was already closed by Iran

The US Navy escorted ships through the strait and there wasn't a thing that Iran could do about it.

And this was not a viable option long-term. Hence why we're at the negotiating table

All this virtue signaling is worthless compared to what America loses in this endeavor.

What did we gain?

Wait for all details to come out. This is what you do get on here and open you big fat mouth with no links. And then when Trump wins you are no where to be found. To me getting rid of nukes is a win. Regime is disarray . But to all you un American people of coarse it’s a lose to the great USA. Your kids and grand kids will reek the benefits

Empowering the greatest terrorist regime on the planet is a big loss for us politically, and will have long term implications to our troops and influence in the middle east. Now, I personally don't feel we should be over there at all, but we only made it worse by half-assing this war. The political ramifications will be felt as Iran struts around touting their victory over the evil Americans.

This is the same sort of straw man that people use saying that I'm always wrong. It's going to be funny watching them spin this into that retarded meme when it appears by all accounts that we are taking a huge L

Closing down the strait gives them the same sort of deterrent power than a nuclear weapon would

The next time we threaten them with anything they're just going to threaten the shut down the strait and we're going to bow down.

We are in bizarro world when SDV is critical of this and I applaud Trump for it. My theory on this is I have been listening to people for 2 1/2 months say everything is going poorly and he needs to cut bait. If you thought the regime has been on the ropes and it's been a rousing success, I could see how you're stunned today.

Did not eliminate the Iranian theocracy. Did not end their nuclear program. Proved that Iran has functional control over a choke point in global energy trade. Let the core of a revolutionary element within Iran get purged before we even started the operation. Several American service members died, many more injured including a friend of mine.

Treaty being rumored is not status quo ante. Iran is possibly in a better strategic position now than they were before since clearly all that really matters is their ability to harass trade routes through Hormuz.

I’m trying hard, bro, but you’re not helping. The effect a nuclear strike versus the effect of what amounts to an act of economic terrorism. Quite different effects indeed. And people know that. The two acts are just nowhere near the same in the way you suggest. IMO

Being intentionally obtuse yet again.

He’s clearly saying that now that Iran has proven it can shut down the strait the threat of doing it again and provided the same effect on international relations of the old “nuclear deterrent” argument of I need a nuke so people will take what I say seriously and I can’t get threatened and pushed around.
