With deductions, etc. it’s very likely they do not pay much Federal Income tax. I’ve saying it for years and agree with Trump.
It’s an automatic federal subsidy for First Responders. States and Local governments pay those salaries so allowing them to keep more of what they earn is a plus.
Should be the same for all and go to a Fair Tax.

As a conservative I am for as many people paying as little tax as possible. I’d be for cuts in government jobs as well. We do need cops so no “defund the police” bullshite the libs want. Especially not now with all these unvetted illegals that are in the country thanks to Kamala.

If this money comes from money we send to Ukraine and other shitholes and it makes our cities more safe I’m all for it.

Memphis starting police salary is roughly $52,300. Firefighter is $43K for a recruit and $62K for a first year private.
Neither of those get paid nearly enough for what they do.
