Government programs paid through forced taxation is not generosity. I would freely give to charities I agree with, but do not because my charity is forced through taxation. To me, one cannot have it both ways.

I didn't need a handout. WIC is used for pregnant mothers if you were not aware.

Good Lord, you are an idiot.

How does any of this screw young people? Those that want to work and compete instead of insisting on 40 hour weeks and that their lifestyle will be ruined will be just fine.
The lazy will live off the system. Same as it has always been.
And those programs you are talking about aren’t really helpful without careful planning. If you don’t put a sizable investment into your house, you will be paying at least three to four times the worth over a period of thirty years.

Yes, for a period of three months after my first child was born. I worked myself off of it. I’ve met people who literally live fulll-time off the government. You may have to do things you don’t want to do.
I waited tables while finishing school. Went into the military and learned a skill set. My degree didn’t matter until eight years later. But it did.

I was in the military. Do you know how many in the military live under the poverty line? It cannot have improved

You have a guaranteed roof over your head, virtually free health insurance, and get money for meals you’re hardly struggling in the military.

You struggle in a different way, physical danger. And when I left the military I struggled more due to divorce (the things they don’t tell you). Everyone struggles at some point, or should. I learned the skills to become financially independent. Took twenty years but got there.
I have no sympathy for those that complain, then carry 30K or more in credit card debt. Called living beyond your means. Majority of Americans do so wanting too much too fast.

Depending on where one is stationed, COLA can also be pretty damn good.
They gave us a breakdown of how much we were "paid" every December. I was paid almost $80K/year in 1989 as an E3 even though I actually made like $1400/month (guessing here, cause frick everyone, I cannot remember that far back). The rest was everything else they gave me.

The military also doesn’t issue you a wife. Idk what you just said has to do with anything.

No, they don’t. It is a different way of life. If you are struggling so much join the guard or reserve. One weekend a month for a portion of the same benefits

This may be true but the reasons aren't because they're materially better people, it is because they are not a citizen and their ability to stay in the greatest country in the world depends on being supplicant to their employer.
Reflect on that a bit. They're getting paid less than an equivalent citizen and they have no freedom of labor movement. No wonder employers love them!

Maybe you should do more than complaining about Trump screwing young people. Like, dude, if you're that miserable do something drastic...must I tell you what?
