Yes, Giancana was the don of the Chicago mob. And if you've read anything about his murder, it was never solved and done by a very close associate. He was shot in the back at very close range in his kitchen while making dinner.
Your typical hit of a leader would be something like Gotti hitting Castellano and then succeeding him as leader, same with the way Bruno was killed in Philly.
You rarely have leadership killed with no succession motive.

I have my reservations about what will be released. I think there might be questionable things in the investigation of JFK murder, but there won't be anything in there related to the US govt actually behind it.

George HW Bush? Bush was in private business in 1963 when Kennedy was assassinated. His first run for public office was in 1964 and he lost! It wasn’t until about 1970 that Bush had developed a national reputation.

There are reports that he was in the CIA for many years after college, which would make sense as he became the Director of the CIA about 10 years after the assassination. I would assume that most CIA Directors have prior CIA experience as well..

Most people that work for the CIA held normal positions so others wouldn’t know that they work for the CIA.. that’s true for all operatives that aren’t in the public eye.
It is interesting that his political career launched right after the assassination though..

-Pompeo 'begged' Trump not to release the files.
I think anything of real relevance has been long destroyed or altered that would implicate federal government.

I think it’s widely accepted and known it wasn’t LHO.
But I will say this, if these get released, it will be further verification he’s coming after more.
