Of course it's rational.
What you have to understand is people like FLtech are losers that have hitched their entire identity to Trump. When someone criticizes Trump it has the same psychological effect of physically attacking him so he has to go into defense mode.

Sounds like a great idea. Not only would the US control the flow of Iranian oil but also be able to keep close tabs on their radical folks.

We never had much of a choice. Harris was installed rather than going through the normal primary process. Trump sat on the sidelines during the RNC debates and was the default candidate.
