AMAZING!

Firefighters run into burning buildings to save strangers, and some have been ambushed on calls by gunmen who set fires to lure them in

Kill the people who save lives, and lose yours! SIMPLE

There should be no special class of citizens (like police, lgbtq or minorities).

Anyone who commits murder of any kind to anyone should be in consideration of the death penalty.

He said, " or anybody in law enforcement."...so I hope the K9's would be included.

I know a lot of states consider them the same but it needs to be formally recognized as such.

I agree and it should be swift and not wait years while they are supported by taxpayers.

It is but I’m not opposed in principle. Should just be expedited.

Great idea.

But, what's the federal jurisdiction for the killing of non-federal officers and firefighters?

There are already laws on the books for the death penalty for killing federal officers (including law enforcement and fire fighters) in the performance of their duties.

Does the President bounce any of these ideas off of people who know the law?

Yes. And the federal equivalent (for federal employees) is already on the books.

What’s crazy is a police officer has left a K9 in their vehicle and it died but the police officer wasn’t charged. The vehicle over heated. Accidental ot not the dog died.

If I accidentally killed someone I’d get charged with involuntary manslaughter.

But why stop at police officers? If you kill anybody you die too.
