I mean, this is a state law issue, right?

Yes, of course. The federal AG doesn't prosecute murders of cops or firefighters. And it doesn't seem like Trump is telling him to try; just to seek the death penalty in cases his office never brings.

But "Eric Daugherty" needs his bots to repost his shite to drive those engagement numbers, bro. So ALL CAPS and fire emojis it is. I guess it works on at least some of the people on here, who think that tweets create reality and get mad when you point out they actually don't.

Did the owner of the miniature donkey kill the cop who shot it? All law enforcement officers should be held to a high standard and if they do something that isn't right...justice should be served.

AI Overview

The federal government prosecutes the murder of local, state, or federal law enforcement officers and public safety officials primarily when specific jurisdictional triggers are met—such as when the killing occurs on federal property, crosses state lines, involves a federal nexus (like killing a witness or victim to prevent testimony in a federal investigation), or targets officers aiding federal authorities

Why are you upset? I said it would be great to have the death penalty for murders of all policeman and firefighters.

The President doesn't have the power to do that. I'm old fashioned, I know that only Congress writes the laws.

Every law enacted by Congress must be based on one or more of its powers enumerated in the Constitution. (See Marbury v Madison)

Some of y'all SERIOUSLY hate our Constitution.

I never claimed to be. Educate me oh learned one. What fact did I get wrong?

How can the President see to it that a state cop killer in some pussy state...say, Iowa...that has abolished the death penalty is executed?

Does he have anyone who he consults with with a real law degree before he just says dumb stuff that he can’t unilaterally do, there are already laws that address this scenario and it’s all based on evidence and other factors whether they can lawfully seek the death penalty, c’mon maga u gotta be smarter then this unless u passed the bar in China

Apparently he doesn't. I guess they know they will be fired for pointing out reality to President Trump.

I guess that set up works for inspiring ignorant worshipers. "YAY! Cop killers are the worst!" Well, yeah, but wouldn't that be unconstitutional absent some federal employee nexus?

I think Americans are growing tired of it. We'll see what the midterms bring.
