so ignorant. When did this become the case. What is the legal precedent and what did those who enacted the amendment say? Moron. Oh. And what did Harry Reid say about birthright citizens in the 90s? Your ignorance knows no bounds. Why didn’t you do a modicum if research that doesn’t involve a “news” article. I know you won’t be able to understand it...but you could at least try.

It’s the perceived law. It has never been challenged to exclude babies born to non citizens. That is what path we will be headed towards eventually. Trump and team are reading the 14th as the author of the bill meant for it to be read, and soon the Supreme Court will rule on it once it makes its way to them. You can bet it will end up there.

Actually the US Fed Gov has used it in case law.

USA vs Wong. In it, the US Gov used the illegal tactic. Basically asserted his parents were wards of China.

The SCOTUS ruled against them stating the parents were legally domiciled.

In law, domicile is the status or attribution of being a lawful permanent resident in a particular jurisdiction.

The fed Gov knew that if they proved the parents were illegal, then he would NOT be given citizenship. It's why they argued it.

Lol. Oh really? So it only pertains to people coming from other countries, having a child here, and then that child being American? No shite Sherlock. I'm glad we got the "American citizens children are American" part out of the way. Lol

Well, the 14th Amendment requires the child be “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States. A prudent, non-ignorant idiot, would ponder what is the definition as it pertains to the 14th of “subject to the jurisdiction”. There is quite a bit out there on it. Of course, you don’t know that. Because you are an idiot.

Under the jurisdiction of he US definition as it applies to the 14th does not include children born to illegal aliens who are citizens of foreign countries. Under the jurisdiction referred to loyalty to the US and no loyalty bestowed by citizenship to another country. Of course that’s just what the authors of the amendment and the courts have said. What do they know. They need ebb to explain it to them.

Now please apologize to the board for being such a douche when you were simply ignorant.

Sure.

If you come here legally, per the SCOTUS, and you have a baby, that baby IS a citizen.

If you come here illegally and you have a baby, that baby is NOT a US citizen.

There is no case law on illegal immigration and anchor babies of illegals. However, there is a case where the Federal Gov did argue that the the parents were illegal and therefore the defendant can not be a citizen.

The Fed gov would have never argued that if that was not a understanding.

That case was USA vs Wong. In it, the Fed gov stated that Wong's parents were not legal and wards of China not the USA. Wong won the case by convincing the SCOTUS that his parents were legal. The SCOTUS stated that his perents were legally domiciled.

In law, domiciled means a lawful permanent resident in a particular jurisdiction.

So we have a case where the gov argued the illegal status... had they convinced the court he would not have had been awarded citizenship.

Made up.
No.

But then the additional problem is their inclusion in the Census which determines states US Representative allotments. Each House of Representatives member represents about 750,000 people. 22 million illegals obviously account for 29 House members.

Assuming most/all of those fall to Democrat seats, a near certainty, illegal aliens may well be responsible for flipping the House next week.

So your "made up" line rings patently false.
