For the record, the things politicians do aren't gotcha their public and we should hold them all accountable.

But this country is shifting to more villages in that if it's someone I like, common sense no longer is common.

So yeah I agree with you. Go after all the crookeds and don't have statutes of limitations for that either.

Seriously! How can you want to open up the books of adults related to anyone in office? That's not only ludicrous it is unconstitutional!

I'm guessing that 5 minutes after he said that... cnn,MSNBC, abc, cbs, espn,Reuters, nyt, wapo...immediately, without any investigations, debunked him.

I’m reading this thread and it’s as if Donald Trump was never President and never used his position to benefit his businesses. My how far we have come in a year.

Huh?

Who said anything about gulags?

I just don’t believe anyone in a position if power within our government should be permitted to benefit from it in any way, shape, or form.

I think anyone who works in the US government should actually have less rights than the common citizen.

Screw that shite. My sister, nor my parents pay my bills or contribute to my retirement so no way should I be penalized from trading that I’ve been doing for years.

The politician and their spouse should be the rule.

They should only be allowed to own Total Market Indexes like VTSAX or VTi that way if they want to increase their returns they have implement policies that benefit the entire economy instead of picking and choosing winners in their portfolios of individual stocks.

As well as their families. Nancy gets away with a lot of it because her husband takes care of it.

Ban all of their family members from investing/trading, too. Weed out the ones who just want to get rich. Bring in people who legitimately want to represent their respective states. The political offices were never meant to exist for the office holders to get rich. A member of the House making $175k a year should not possibly be able to have a net worth of upwards of $100m or more.

Half of America can't afford to wipe their arse right now, while Pelosi stocks her dual $25,000 freezers with designer ice creams. It's bullshite.

It's Republicans too. See if I ever vote for Inhofe (R-OK) again after he was exposed along with Feinstein and Pelosi and the others.

We allow this bullshite. I don't know why.

The leftist thinking comes in if your brother or sister are crooked AF and they structure an influence peddling scheme to where you're their primary contact, you get the cash and they get the meetings with the lobbyists.

Dude lost approx $1B to his net worth due to damage to his personal brand because the media luminaries and career swamp creatures on your bedroom posters and fap material castigated him on the daily for 5+ years because... reasons.

Inside information is one thing. But LITERALLY being in a position to influence and create policies which will completely alter various industries and specific businesses and then finding ways to profit from those industries, DOES seem to be a HUGE problem...
