#1 this is the equivalent of a national disaster, they cannot be prepared for
#2 There are federal departments called the CDC and FEMA that are responsible for taking care of these matters. The President doesn't do inventories.

USVI Health Commissioner (HC) issued statement to physicians to cease and desist ordering for patients outside of hospital for positive tests. In her statement she said that the information on the HCQ +/- AZM was "false or at the very least misleading". As clinical pharmacist at the hospital I mentioned that the text was misleading at best. The person I report to laughed and said "politics". The HC is a nurse with BSN/MBA. I wonder if she will get some pushback from physicians.
ETA: I understand the studies so far have had limited sample size. But with known contraindications and toxicities, I see this as compassionate use issue. It may reduce the need for hospitalization. We have 8 cases in St Thomas and 9 on St Croix. Limiting duration will limit spread as well.
