Well hell.

Like I've said, someone I agree with 70-80% of the time is not my enemy.

Very, very rarely.

Not my favorite endorsement to date.

another datapoint that just because I like/support Trump doesn't mean I blindly agree with everything he does

First bumpstocks, now marco endorsement

I'm a Floridian and I want to see someone run against Rubio in the primary. He's gotten too comfortable in his office.

You creamed your pants at this news. Don’t lie. The old guard here hasn’t forgotten your infatuation with Marco.

If the 20-30% of times disagreed are the biggest, most fundamental issues...

Then yes, he is.

Marco’s shallowness and inability to offer a unique vision for the party left a bad taste in my mouth

I was sort of into identity politics a few years ago when I thought he could help the gop gain certain voters

I realize the error of my ways.

Marco is a vacuous figure. Nothing sets him apart

Just think, as long as Marco's in the Senate you can say "I want to fellate a US Senator"

That’s good to hear. I think most people have reached the same conclusion about him, which makes this a strange endorsement to say the least.

Rubio represents the empty suit Republican Trump railed against.

I don’t understand the timing of these endorsements. The elections are a year and a half away.

Marco is whatever. His stuff is performative. He lacks the candor to be my ideal candidate for President/other high leadership.

But he's useful enough, and I don't think he's prone to stab us in the back.

Ideally we'd have more people between Rubio and Trump. People who speak openly to a fault and question entrenched positions without fear of the establishment, but who can sell a vision, stay on course and aren't consumed with vanity.

Maybe Desantis is that blend, I don't know.

Surprising and odd how relatively quiet Trump has been, even given the Twitter ban.

It is so out of character for him.

I expected him to still be having rallies, to have started his own news network or another tv show, to be starting a new political party, maybe create his own social media platform, and to be highly active / “loud” as ever, Twitter ban not withstanding.

edit: apology if this is off-topic. But I figured Trump’s volume, or lack thereof, was relevant to his having made an announcement. I’m am genuinely curious as to what is going on with him / what plans he may have if any.
