This... Trump is now saying the same shite Kevin O'Leary was last week. And I am sure when Bill Gates met with Trump last week he pushed the same thing.

It's not a good idea. With Trump's win, we have a chance to begin making changes for the better. Begin a change of direction.
If we dilute ourselves with those progressive thinking folks, it would only strengthen everything that American first voters are fighting against.
I understand the benefits of direct control over 2/3's of North America along with the natural resources, but that means nothing if America continues on this path of losing everything that has made us great.
Call me a naive purist..... But whatever

This has to be some kind of negotiating tactic. There is no way he would let Canada have voting rights and he absolutely hated NAFTA. He’s going to use this as leverage to get us into a positive trade deal for the US that also takes advantage of their natural resources.

Canada is in bad shape. I’d take the prairie provinces and Yukon in a heartbeat if they broke off. And they’d happily come on board. The rest would never agree to join.

It’s obviously this. The uproar globally if the US annexed Canada would be off the charts.

What could they do about it? We might as well absorb the UK at that point.

Canada has slightly more people than CA does. This would be an electoral disaster for the Republican party.
Just give them Puerto Rico status. You can vote for shits and giggles but we aren’t counting it.

The difference between what we could do and what we should choose to do is pretty significant.
I want to let Canada be Canada. They are a sovereign nation. I respect their right to self determination.
The whole premise of MAGA was to get our affairs in order domestically, setup mutually beneficial trade arrangements and not be global police.
How would annexing Canada benefit us or them? They’re 75% British culturally, don’t share our values and politically would be like a northern version of California.
He’s not annexing Canada nor should we want him to.

Right wing for Canada is like saying Vermont has a republican governor while still voting for Bernie and going 63-33% in the POTUS elections.

I would say most of the provinces are more similar to the Dakotas…they lean conservative. It’s really only Ontario and BC that have leftist populations

But, BC and Ontario alone compose what, 60% of the population of Canada?
