How does it differ from the agreement that has been in place for 75 years? That is the real measure of the new deal.
From what it seems, not much materially speaking. It just made “permanent” what we already had in place with maybe an extra caveat that Russia can’t build a base either which was sort of a given.
There seems be a lot of “read between the lines!!!” But those lines existed before this agreement.

fixing the actual problems with this country.
Name a ‘problem’ he could solve without the OK of congress when Dems vote slavishly against any proposal by his administration.
And whatever ‘problem’ you conjure up please tell r us how much better it was with the last two Democrat admins.

For frick's sake, read something, dipshit.
Calm down little guy.
The deal respects Denmark’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Now I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t sound like a mineral deal.
I’ll wait for confirmation over Trumps word

Do you have a link to the text of the new agreement? I haven't seen it.

Yes, Pituffik (formerly Thule).
A while ago I bought a box of old Kodak slides from the 1950s. There were at least a couple hundred from Greenland during the time we were establishing Thule.
These are just a few, and I sold several plane and helicopter shots for a surprisingly high amount (hundreds of dollars for each slide).
I have a bunch of aerial shots, shots of glaciers, and the ocean. A couple of shots from the guys ski jumping brought good money. I have no idea who any of the people are.

That’s pretty cool.
My dad was in Thule working on radar sites during the Cold War. Apparently he wrecked a truck at night in the snow and almost died trying to get back to the base. I’m pretty sure he was drunk.

Hell, I think drinking was one of the only things they had to do up there.

I mean, you’re not wrong, but he didn’t need an excuse

You should never whine about derailing threads.
And yes, it is zero days since you were last triggered by an innocuous post I made.
Very strange behavior.

Were China and Russia establishing bases in Greenland?
If Denmark allowed China or Russia to build a military base in Greenland they’d be expelled from NATO.
Do you think Denmark wants to be solely responsible for its military defense?

"Thanks to President Trump’s vision and leadership, this historic agreement permanently guarantees U.S. security interests in the Arctic at zero cost to the U.S. taxpayer.
