What was the justification to take the staff up to 200 people during the Obama term?
It takes a lot of staff to cover up Michelle's bulges.

Sometimes to make large scale changes you have to do it incrementally. To just walk in and tell everyone they suck and we’re going to completely change everything they’ve previously done will cause massive pushback. He can’t do everyone’s job or micromanage everyone because he would spread himself too thin. He had to have buy in from the people working for him and he needed some continuity because this was all new to him. Some of you are unrealistic with how fast you think these things should change. The government works so slow it’s close to moving backwards.

quote:No shite. I said, on here and elsewhere, many times, that he should have done this on day 1. Sure, there would have been backlash, but not nearly the truckloads of bullshite we've seen so far.
WTF took so long?
They're all true-believer prog shills. Trump needs to do this in every department, regardless of how the media reacts. They're going full blown hatred every day anyway, so he might as well.

I guess better late than never.......this shite should have happened the first 3 months of Trump's presidency.....I can only imagine how little leaking would have occurred if Trump would've cleaned the Obammy holdovers out of the NSC, FBI, DOJ and other Intel agencies.

He is not firing anyone, just reassigning them away from the white house. Dems are the biggest political whiners I have ever seen.

Congrats on that impeachment.

eh, they werent fired, just sent down the hall to the next bloated dept
Does this new Budget weigh on a "bloated dept.? Might be Trump's way of getting rid of Obama's NEW hires and putting the seniority thing as what got the Obama Progs...'fired'.

Please. Can someone answer this? Why did he have to wait to be acquitted from a garbage trial to finally earn the right to fire people?
Because had he done it before, the comparisons to Nixon would have been shouted from the roof tops, and nobody needs that. Pretty simple.

Maybe it would have been different if Flynn hadn’t been subjected to worse bullshite than trump.
Then you get McMaster
The leader has ultimate responsibility but he could have used a little more help vetting people at the start

Smart move. Trump is more powerful now than before impeachment. The MSM and Democrats can't touch him. Teflon Don

People don't understand what Trump has faced- Defiant Obama holdovers,Muller probe, leaks to the media, etc. Trump was a newcomer; difficult at first to figure out who he could really trust. During the Probe, you have to figure his hands were tied- anything he did could have hurt his standing and possible re-election. Once (hopefully) Trump is re-elected in November, then he can open the flood gates- at that point I bet we see a rash of firings and changes...

My only thinking was that Trump made the assumption that theses federal employees worked for the U.S. government because they loved America.
he ran on "drain the swamp" but didn't realize where the swamp gets its depth?

Ukraine specialist.
Are these specialists supposed to have more allegiance towards the other country instead of the one they represent? Sure sounds like they are representing Ukraine rather than the USA.

Tampering with evidence is what they would have alleged if he did this during the trial. Good move by Trump

Fine.
So what’s the excuse now when nothing gets done?

Trump has 99 problems, but failure to accomplish goals isn't one of them.
