Let's assume Mamdani tries to arrest Netanyahu in New York, New York and succeeds. What happens next?

quote:

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has said New York City’s legal department is discussing the possibility of arresting Netanyahu when the prime minister is in the city to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in The Hague,” Mamdani told The New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast. “He’s a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court.”

Mamdani says, "Hold My Beer"!!

I think NYC’s commie mayor is mainly playing to his wild-eyed, low IQ base and if he were to try to actually act like he’s conducting NYC’s own foreign policy independent of the U.S. and move to arrest a sitting head of state from another country, he’ll get put in his place with prompt and proper quickness.

I don’t think Mamdani is highly intelligent by any means but I’ll (maybe erroneously) give him enough credit for being smarter than that.

I’d love for him to “find out” though if he’s myopically ballsy enough to try it.

Me neither but If I foreign born Muslim tries to detain the PM of Israel in a major US city, some real shite will pop off.

I’m ready.

I asked previously, what authority does the city of NY have to arrest an international PM if he hasn't committed a crime here in the US?

Its a federal thing if any and we don't have to abide by the ICC

Regardless of how I feel about Netanyahu, having a lunatic socialist mayor arrest the head of state of a foreign country is insane and terrible precedent.

Mamdani is puffing to play to his base.

Zero % chance he tries.

Even if he did try, NYPD won't follow that order.

I say let him arrest Netanyahu and then arrest him for doing it. There is no way a mayor has that legal authority.

A win win.

You would think Moreno would be smarter than to have a grand jury allowed to indict the sitting AG of Louisiana but it happened.

Mamdani may be stupid enough to try this.

A half dozen of us should make up a court and accuse Mandami of something, would be the same thing.

I don't give a shite about any of that. I'm tired of the United States taking sides in what is a frickin 2,000 year old blood feud. I want a clean break from every damn thing involving the Middle East. frick that shite hole.
