not the ones who read the Bible with a minimum of 5th grade reading comprehension. You have absolutely zero reason to pray to anyone But Christ, God Almighty, or the Holy Spirit
If you pray to anyone but the trinity, you are praying to Satan or his demons.
paint that across the walls of your house so you won't forget
So the first 1000 plus years of Christanity is a lie until Protestantism came along? What? Do you or have you ever read the Church Fathers?
You completly lack any foundational understanding of hierarchy, or that heaven is a court of God (which is why medieval society structred politics as such)
Lack understanding of the purpose of saints and the pagan gods- being the gods were once repesentives of God until they rebelled, and the saints replaced them by God. Same structure as vassals
Lack understanding that the prayers of the rightous availeth much- and that the Church is two- the heavenly Church (heaven) and the militant Church ( earth)
Lack understanding that after death you dont stop becoming human? Christ brought humanity to heaven on the ascension.
Lack understanding that praying to saints is the same thing as asking you pastor to pray for you?
Is your pastor a demon? He isnt the Holy Trinity! Your brother? Friend? Are they Idols? What makes saints idols? That you cant see them? What? So for 1000 plus years every Christian praying for other Christians or asking for prayers are really fooled by demons?
Bro you read the Bible and thats great but you lack the context of the World the Bible is made and the beliefs of early Christians. It seems foolish to you because you are more American than Christian to be honest- more elightenment world than Christian world base.
Give me the Church Fathers over some random protestant disconnected and ignorant of the context of Christian History

Revealing yourself as a true high priest of Satan. This is your passion. You are obsessed with trying to turn people away from their faith in the one true God. Nobody, except an agent of Satan would invest the energy that you expend on this subject. You could just ignore these threads but you don’t. You don’t because your burning passion is to separate believers from God. That is and always has been the passion of a hateful and jealous Satan since his fall. You are one of his minions.
Everyone else, reject and ridicule this agent of the dark.

I love the Saint Michael prayer. It's one of the best.

Why the ad hominem attacks? Why not attempt to counter my arguments with logic and evidence and even scripture? For instance, if you think I’m wrong about Yahweh experiencing regret for his actions, or if you think I’m wrong about the ability to negotiate and haggle with Yahweh to change his mind like I described in my post, try refuting that and try to be persuasive.
Who created Satan? Who allows Satan to live and corrupt people on earth? Why?

Jesus tells us how to pray in the Bible. No where does He or God tell us to pray to saints or Mary. They were just people. The Holy Trinity is much different and the only ones that should be prayed to.

Tell us why Roman Catholics are not Christians. They are not part of the Body of Christ? Tell us why.
I know that your view is the majority view among Protestants, but, you could help us learn something around here if you'd explain why Protestant Pastors preach to their flocks that Roman Catholics are not Christians and are not part of the Body of Christ.
Thanks.

So, Trump is promoting Idolatry by praying to St. Michael, right?

God bless you, I'll include you in my prayers tonight when I pray the rosary and also pray for the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel.

No true Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge.
Look buddy, let me put something into perspective for you. From about 150-350CE, if you’d have walked into a Christian church anywhere from Greece to Anatolia to Syria to Palestine to Egypt, you’d have experienced groups that didn’t just not believe in the holy Trinity, but didn’t believe the god of the Old Testament was good and was actually Satan or an evil creator and certainly not the father of Jesus. To call Catholics “not Christian” is just ignorant and downright stupid.
Now let’s get to reality. The 4 gospels you have as part of your canon exist as canon because this dude named Irenaeus of Lyon said that there ought to be only 4 gospels because they are 4 winds. Look it up. And those gospels are in reality derived from one earlier gospel - itself just a story made up as a parable about what they believed had just taken place in heaven. It’s no coincidence that Paul, writing before the gospels existed, never ever mentioned Jesus on earth but went on an on about Jesus being the firstborn of creation, creating the universe, existing in heaven, taking on a body of flesh in a secret plan to be killed in heaven, and descended in his fleshly body and was killed by the rulers of this age (archons of this aeon aka demons in the sky) in heaven and was buried in heaven and resurrected in heaven. Paul never mentions Romans like Pontius Pilate or soldiers because that story hadn’t been invented yet.
Those earliest Christians were not monotheists, because they actually believed in their scriptures, which wasn’t necessarily our old testament of today, but may have left out certain books, and definitely included books we don’t have such as the Book of Enoch, the book of Jubilees, book of Giants, Ascension of Isaiah, and many more. They believed in the father El Elyon, and his son Yahweh (see Deuteronomy 32:8-9) and the queen of heaven called Asherah who was the wife of El. They called El Elyon “God” (Theos) and called Yahweh “Lord” (Kyrios) and also acknowledged Yahweh as an angel of Theos but the greatest angel. These earliest Christians believed Jesus was Yahweh, and that he earned the name “Jesus” only after his death and resurrection.
Take another book that was written before the gospel stories - the Apocalypse of John aka “Revelation”. Read Revelation chapter 12. Pay attention to the woman in the heavens (the same woman represented as the sun of righteousness with healing in her wings of Malachi 4:2). That woman is giving birth to Yahweh aka Jesus. Yahweh/Jesus is the one who defeats the dragon (called Leviathan elsewhere in the Bible). The woman in the sky is Jesus’ mother, sometimes called Asherah, or Ishtar, or queen of heaven, or the Holy Spirit, and later called “Mary” in the fictional accounts of Jesus on earth. Ishtar was the name the northernmost Canaanites called the wife of El Elyon. We can see a continuum of names all the way to Judah- first Ishtar, then Ishtarte, then Ashtarte, then Ashteroth, then Asherah. It’s funny how the “dove” is a symbol of peace and the dove is used in so much imagery of Mary and The Holy Spirit. It’s not a coincidence. Know how to say “dove” in Ancient Greek? “Perishtar” means “bird of Ishtar”.
These early Christians prayed to the father El, Asherah the wife of El, and their son and most important archangel Yahweh who became known as Jesus. The scriptures don’t say that there is one god, but quite the opposite.
The Trinity and “one god” and not praying to Mary was a direct result of third century Christians attempting to usurp the authority of Marcionite Christianity. Marcion of Sinope was the first to publish a Christian Bible and he did not believe the Old Testament Yahweh was Jesus or Jesus’ father or in any way associated with Jesus. The Roman Christians went to the Jews and figured out that they believed in “one god” and took their scriptures and inserted it in front of Marcion’s New Testament. They thought they had to merge the father, the Holy Spirit, and the son into one god since the Bible now said there was just one god.
The problem was though that there was no contradiction there. Here o Israel the Lord is one, and beside me there is no other are not saying no other gods exist. Quite the opposite actually. Those are boasts of incomparability. Those kinds of verses are all about Yahweh being badass and no other gods are as cool and powerful… which is a lie if you actually read the Bible. Yahweh was confined to the land of Israel by his father and he had relatively little to no power outside of Israel and Judah.
I’m not a christian though I was raised as one, but I’m very educated on the subject matter, and I can tell you that the Catholic practice of praying to Mary is far more consistent with the original Christian practices and tradition than the practices of the groups (like most Protestants) that reject prayer to Mary. But I’m also not going to say you aren’t a Christian because he hold beliefs that differ from other Christians. That would be idiotic and nonsensical.

quote:This is one of the main reasons I think we need Catholicism. When people are left to their own devises and read the Bible, they get out of Job "God is mean and and tortures Job to test him." That's completely wrong, friend.
Satan works for God testing people like Job. One look at Isaiah 45:7 in the KJV Bible will tell you everything you need to know about why God lets Satan run amuck as the god of this world.
