What is your obsession with literally latching on to every single story that comes out about trump?

I guess I’m not understanding The motivation to “get him” to the point it consumes a person like you for several years.

Do you think you will able to get to a point where you just go on about your life?

Maybe, but he doesn’t bang on those people nearly as much as you bang on Trump. It’s not healthy.

We have degenerated as a society and form of government when it is OK by so many to have our president extort a foreign president to investigate a political rival’s family. This is not right nor American, and disgraceful for any sitting president to do this. Sad times for “ the last best hope for democracy and freedom” in the world.

Ok, next up. I’ll ask YOU:

Why is the IC listening in on a sitting President’s phone calls?

That doesn’t alarm you? Not even a little bit?

Whether some of these folks know it or not they are participating in a ragtag strategy: be such an annoyance about Trump that eventually a decent amount of his supporters will just throw hands in the air and give up. Not happening though.

No, of course. Trump has a earnest and abiding commitment to rooting out Ukrainian corruption.

after three years of being wrong, why do you continue to think your info is solid. Solid enough to invest any emotional energy. It seems like we could just let him govern and enjoy the benefits of it. If there is a policy issue, take your case to the airwaves. But no one seems worried bout anything he does, just HOW he does it and WHO he is. Crazy to me.

Why is it a problem he did it? A Vice President bribed a foreign country with our tax dollars so his son could profit and you don’t want to know about it?

What Sleepy is guilty of is Extortion. He didn't bribe the man, he strong armed him.

I listened to Ari Fleisher say indeed there are people who routinely listen in to conversations and madly take notes to assist the president and his aids. This happens in all administrations. I guess it's uncommon for these listeners to form enough of a contrary position on what they've heard to run to the IG and lodge a complaint. I wonder if Trump survives this curfuffle?

I know one thing. For me after seeing this thread, I've decided no TV news for five days. I can get everything I need from all sides along with context, right here on the PoliBoard. I'll watch the Astros tonight along with a show or two from Prime or Netflix but I will not watch TV news.

And there's a reason mobsters make implicit rather than explicit threats, right?

What’s hilarious about this is how “air sickness” high your bar is to believe that Biden was protecting his kid, but it takes virtually nothing for you to swallow whole the idea that the president is a secret Russian spy blackmailing the Ukraine to bring down Joe Biden.

It's routine to have staff on these calls for all but the most sensitive of interactions. The IG is a Trump appointee. One of the sources for the original Times story is likely Coats, another Trump appointee. These people are following procedures. These laws were created to correct the pre-church commission abuses of the IC. It's insane to think giving the president unchecked authority over the IC is going to come to something good.

What country in the world is worth a damn that has security services that aren't accountable to its parliament/congress?

Democrats don’t give a shite that Bidens son acted illegally in Ukraine. Only that that Trump wanted him investigated. Same with Hillary’s emails. Dont care about the substance of them, only care they were hacked. Dems have no credibility

If Biden's son is guilty, it's appropriate for sure.

Clearly, you aren't familiar with the law on this subject.
If there was a quidpro quo, it's a violation of U.S. law.
